Busy, letting things get by me lately. ^^; I keep meaning to post for-real stuff, but wah, I am distractable.  But to sum up--got over the cold, vet bill since Crystal-cat needed her yearly vaccines/bloodwork (still doing oddly well at 23+, but needed yet another med, this one to aid liver function), clogged kitchen sink that turned into an $800 plumbling repair, monster chiller horror headache that ranks among my top 5, and my yearly visit to my allergist in which I didn't make it into a drug trial but did get switched to a new antihistimine (awesome, because Singulair obviously has done jack squat for me this past year.). I think that's most everything. o_O  Going to be doing dinner with my Dad/stepmother this week. And oh, my brother had one of his short stories from his MFA published in an online journal, which is pretty fucking amazing, imo.

Also, a belated thank you thank you to [livejournal.com profile] cackling_madly for the virtual jellybeans :D *hugs*

Uuuugh, I have to renew my drivers license in the next couple months. Pain in the aaaaaaaaaaass. >P

Feeling mopey, so random pictures instead of talkin'.

Cat 3 of 3 (Tink), entirely failing to mole-cat under blankets and instead ending up a cave-cat. Ugly, shimmery-brown hand-me-down couch is ugly.

Last night's dinner. (Golden curry sauce mix, frozen: beef meatballs, onion and multicolor pepper mix, spinach, peas, fresh: new potatoes, carrots, celery, broccoli, cherry tomatoes; with jasmine rice)

Really wish it would get around to raining like it's supposed to.

Got Missy-cat to the vet this morning. They removed the growth, a short procedure that only took a bit over an hour. They'll send it for biopsy so we should know in a few days if it's something that we need to worry about. For now, she's doing really well, not acting too out of the ordinary at all. They gave her an antibiotic and steroid shot, and it left only a small incision, so hopefully it'll heal quick. Then there'll just be taking her back in a couple weeks to get the sutures out.

Another 550$+ today, though. : / This has been an expensive, expensive year for the cats. We never intended to have that many, but I kind of have liked having four. But I'm starting to agree with the husband's statement that as they age and eventually die, that he doesn't ever want to have more than two at a time again. I don't know how we ended up with ones that all have so many medical issues. There's always been so many other animals I've wanted to have, too, but I couldn't imagine doing so now, even beyond him saying no--the cost, even for just normal stuff, is so high. And when they have health issues, it's just astronomical. : /

Ugh, and now I've been short with Mom about something in regards to this all, and I seriously hate when I do that. But she gets so overly concerned, almost obsessive, about the littlest things, almost hypochondriac, and I'm already stressed and worrying about it all and about costs, and I just...crap. I mean, we've been home just a bit over an hour, and of course she's going to groom it some--they only said to go back for the cone if she really won't leave it alone--ffs, give it some time, mother.

Read the first two volumes (and some of the third) of Scott Pilgrim at Borders while Missy was having the vetwork done. Really was liking it, wish I could buy them. Definitely want to see the movie when it hits DVD.

I swear I'll get to comments tomorrow. :x Right now I want comfort!pizza-rolls. :x

I. There's already so many Dean-or-Jensen gets turned into an animal fics. I don't need to flail that this photo is the best prompt in the world for yet another one. I just. I don't. But, but, omg :x ♥♥♥ It does not help that backpack-wearing guy has dark curls under his hat, no it does not help at all. So very Sam-or-Jared-like, omg *flails* I just...*criminy*, this photo is just *begging* to be a fic prompt, I swear.

Made http://annies-eats.com/2010/06/08/fettuccine-with-peas-asparagus-and-pancetta/ but with whole wheat penne instead of fettucini and shallots instead of green onion. Also included julienned red pepper and 1/2 c shredded asiago cheese and a couple tablespoons grated peccorino romano cheese. Not bad.

Got Wynnchester (horde paladin) to 62, finished her paladin charger quest yesterday--didn't need to do it since they train the epic riding mount now, but wanted the special blood knight tabard. I've wanted that tabard since BC beta when I wished Ak could have it only to find it was paladin only. Levelling a paladin continues to be so freaking easy. Switched back to using ret primarily, and good grief stuff dies fast, and no mana problems at all.

Crystal-cat still moves like an arthritic 100 year old, which is really what she is, but since they upped the prednisone dosage she's actually moving around the house again instead of just sleeping in Mom's room all day. She came down here and (after several tries) got up on the couch to her "spot"--first time she's done that in several weeks, I think.

What, only 62% humidity? LIES. It's freaking saturated out there. D: Ugh ugh ugh. Just bringing in groceries shouldn't result in ending up sweat-drenched. Gross. >p (Dear Nebraska: You suck. No love, me)

So yesterday when the techs were over doing the vent cleaning, we shut all the cats out on the enclosed porch, the one that's separated from the kitchen by a glass patio door. Cat 2 of 4, Missy, (the Maine Coon fuzzy-tubby bear of a diva princess cat) at one point decided she was going to make a break for it and run from the porch into the kitchen oh yeaaaaah. Remember the glass patio door? Yeah. *Bonk*. Good thing she's got a skull that's like granite (which is obvious when she decides she must nuzzle by ramming her head up under a person's nose).

Someday I will talk about something other than cats. Today is not that day.

Woo, the thunderstorming today. \o/ It's been crazysauce. Though the torrential downpour/freaky winds part seems to have passed mostly already.

Bebop-cat's doing a lot better, which is yay. ♥ Still not fully normal, but starting to act a lot more like his usual self. Will take him in tomorrow to check his rbc counts, as well as Crystal-cat who at approx. 22 is finally starting to act like her hips/back legs are really arthritic, something they've been kind of expecting. At least they should have some sort of pain reliever shots/pills since arthritis in cats and dogs is so common.

The vent cleaning had been rescheduled for the 15th (which wasn't *that* much sooner than the massively late reschedule but oh well), but thanks to the massive rains this morning freeing up techs from outside work, they've come over today. Yay for it finally getting done.

I am still SO FREAKING EXCITED about the Supernatural The Animation announcements of yesterday. I can't put into words how much omgyaygleeflailhappy I'm feeling over this. It's like Christmas and my birthday and everything I love to fangeek on wrapped into one. Eeeeeeeee♥ And to hear Madhouse is involved? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madhouse_(company)) Omgomgomg yes! \o/ And this bit: Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Trigun) is designing the characters! Yesssssssssssssss \o/ Ohman, Madhouse, they've been involved with some awesome stuff I've loved. SQUEE, I tell you, SQUEE. ♥ I wonder how long until we find out who's doing the soundtrack, because you bet your ass I'm crossing my fingers for certain composers (my dream is Yoko Kanno takes on classic rock like she handled jazz/blues, but yeah, the odds of that are so nil--but still, I can hope! ^^ ) Too bad this all didn't happen back in the days of cel animation, because HOLY CATS would I start cel collecting again.

So after about 560$ of vet bills, looks like Bebop-cat went really anemic (sounds like something that can happen with chronic kidney issues, from what they were saying). Just in 3 weeks he'd dropped a pound, too. So they've got him on steroids now and the same red blood cell-boosting injection that our elderly cat's on. They'll retest his rbc count next Friday, and then periodically after that to determine if he needs to stay on the steroids/injections permanently or no. So crossing fingers and all that.

His soon-to-be-available t-shirt design. Adding it to my WAAAAAANT list.

And um. This song has been stuck in my head since late Thurs night/early Fri morning.

NSFW, NSFCatholics/papists, language and er...animated naughty bits. Amuuuuuuuuuuuses me. Might have been why I suddenly started looking for Tim Minchin songs/sketches on Youtube between 3-4am night before last. >_> Jeez but I need an mp3 of it. ^^;;
