So, the techs here yesterday checking the furnace for CO leaks messed something up somehow, because it now has this horrible rattle when it's running. Definitely calling them back out this afternoon. At least it works, but it so was not making that sound before they were here. :< It scares the cats even.

spnland_writing and tied for first and was one of the two entries voted most creative. 8D 8D 8D (I don't think my team has noticed yet, but oh well.) Maybe Team Hunter's still kicking our asses, but we'll get them next time, Gadget! Next tiiiiiiiiiime! (I got banners, I've never gotten award banners before ever! \o/ *glee*)

Also, this is why: the challenge was to write 10+ LJ entries for a certain Show character, and I chose the Impala. :3

Snowed last night \o/ Only a couple of inches, but still, it's very pretty--and I've been craving it being like this since we had a dose the first week of October and then nothing at *all* since. I suppose I'm \o/ since I mostly don't have to go outside and deal with it, but oh well. Though the mother is a stubborn wench because she went out and shoveled everything before the husband and I could get up and ready this morning. Sounds like we're due for more maybe Wednesday, and sounds like that will be a *lot* if it hits--so maybe I'll beat her to shovelling (or at least keep her to only helping) that time. :F

Back on the first of November, I wrote/posted a poem called Calavera Road. Got some really nice responses to it, felt really pretty happy about it (and surprisingly, still do--rare for me to be like that).

But I received the absolute best compliment ever, truly ever, when someone on my friends list messaged me and asked if they could use the last two lines for a tattoo. This just blows me away even now, that something I wrote means enough to someone that they'd keep it with them like that, permanent, ink in skin. I know people do quote tattoos--but of major literary and historical figures. It's an awed, amazed feeling to think that someone'd do that from writing of mine.

Anyway, they had it done, and posted an image of it :D Coolest thing ever. http://poppymoon3.livejournal.com/9205.html Sounds like there'll be touch-ups, but I think it's really lovely already.

Seriously, coolest thing ever. If I can ever manage to get published in any form, I don't know if it would feel as wow as seeing something like that. Thanks, Poppy :) I owe ya a hug if we ever run into each other IRL.

That friending meme is so best thing ever right now :D Between that, the Dauntless situation working out so nicely (including the RL friend I used to play with in Nightmare Walking quit there and is transferring to join Dauntless as well \o/ ), and being so besotted with the gals of DotA, life online is looking as awesome as the old days of Gundam Wing or Prince of Tennis fanning. People are awesome ♥

Finally, *finally* getting to watch Up tonight when folks come over. Still kicking myself to have never seen it in the theaters (I bet it was *brilliant* on the big screen), but this will be awesome enough. Cannot wait :D :D

Friends list is so full of Spn people now XD ♥ I'm still foolishly bouncy about that, I can't help myself. Will definitely help the next couple months. I swear, by the time it's done I'll pull a Becky when Sam shows up and start patting the screen. "Ooh, you're so...glassy." (Old tv, ftw :p )

Unfortunately can only be seen by members of the community, but I will relink/repimp when the author posts it to her own journal. I gave the prompt of Porcupine Tree's Collapse the Light Into Earth, which has for years been one of my absolute favorites of theirs (and of course PT has been for years one of my all-time favorite groups). It's an emotionally intense, meaningful song for me. And the comment fic is what

maerhys wrote in response. It is...oh, it just blows me away, and I'm just all choked up and teary at it. It's like she was able to find the essence of the music and lyrics, and give that feeling and emotion to the fic, even in just a few words, while giving it an unexpected and bittersweet twist. And the bow on the present is that it ties in one of the AU concepts I utterly adore, of Sam finding a way to bring back Dean from hell.

Oh, this fandom. I just...I cannot express adequately my love for the people in it. ♥

I think this author now owns my soul. The King of Imperfection Takes Back the Prince of Mistakes, Sam/Dean, NC17, 3600 words. The most utterly perfect fitting happy ever after for these guys, seriously. This author just writes them so utterly *them*. I swear. I don't know if I ever want to write again, when stuff out there is this perfect; I could never ever get it right like she does.
