Blowing away...

whitereflectionMonster windstorm here in western WA yesterday. Blew down a lot of trees, caused a lot of power outages and some flooding along the waterfront areas. Decent amount of building damage, too, even here in Seattle--even downtown, like on the Nordstrom's building. Very trippy. And yep, we were out in that. ^^;; Missed some of it while Dave was doing his certification test (he passed, and is now a Microsoft Certified Professional, or something like that--something to add to his A+CP and his Network+CP. Guess he's going for a MCSA, or something like that, with this series of tests).
But it was most interesting on the buses, and when we hit the mall with the Rainforest Cafe. I'm rather weighty, but even I was having trouble just walking--and at the worst part it was hard to breathe and impossible to talk. Like I said, very trippy. (But the RC was most awesome. :) Love the atmosphere, dig the food. :D And found a cool shirt at the Hot Topic here--they have many more 'lounge shirt' designs than Omaha's Hot Topic ever has. Bigger store, too.)
Going to the Pike's Market area today. Should be kinda low-key, but potentially some crowded as it's the weekend. But we'll be hanging out with my aunt and her SO for dinner in tonight. Dunno what we'll be doing tomorrow, but they say it might be clearer (sun perhaps? Whoa...), so we might walk along the Alki, see if there's any worthwhile shells to be found. Might harass my brother at his work, then, too (he works over at the Alki Bakery).
Kinda in an off mood, for some reason. Not sure why--could be some being tired, and some from hitting the end of our trip. I get down bad after every vacation. It's just that I don't want to go back to regular-normal life. And it's especially so now, when I like hanging out with Mom and Dave, and don't wanna leave 'em, and when I love this city so much, and don't want to go back to Omaha. And I really don't like my normal life, don't like my work...just hard to go back to that. Kind of a bummer that I could never get all my favorite people and me up to my favorite place, here. Hell, it's a bummer that I don't even seem to be able to get just *me* up here to my favorite place, except for the occasional short visit. Meh, enough bitching. I'll save that for my normal posts once I'm home. :p
Anyhoo, sounds like my aunt is off Monday, so she'll be able to help us get a ride to the airport in the afternoon. Will be better than taking the bus as we were planning. Busing with two pieces of luggage and two carry-ons wasn't gonna be fun.
Meh...missing people, thinking about people. Am much needing a chance to talk and hang out with Nix sometime soon. *sighs* Bah, enough of me. *thwaps herself, wanders off*
