Today I am: stupid-tired, croaky, fretting, and absolutely dreading Saturday. Yeehah. :| Also, the heroic Putricide fight in a pain in the butt (at least we've made some progress in learning it). Also also: http://www.asofterworld.com/index.php?id=595 is so a SPN fic prompt if I ever saw one.

I am not fond of it. :| You take the usual fight, and have to play pass-the-plague during it. Except for once a person has said plague and passes it on, they can't take it back again for a minute or they take ugly damage. And the plague itself lasts long enough total that you have to be really careful to let each person keep it about 15 sec--if much less, than you're using up too many people with the can't-get-it-again debuff, but longer and you'll die from it. Also, instead of tear gas at the transitions, he spawns the green and red slime at the same time, so it's a juggle as is, but a *mess* if you hit that when he's already putting one out. Do not liiiiiike.

Saturday's when I'm supposed to post my fic for the summer_sam_love community (I've got the tag for 5.22, it's been a long project where people signed up to do something related to every episode for all five seasons). At the least, I finished my fic, but I'm...having those "God it's so fucking awful" thoughts. : / And I sent it off for beta Sunday, but haven't heard back yet--so I'm just worrying like mad, like did they even get the email, will they have time to finish the beta, how much work am I going to need to do with it once I get it back, ugh. Just really stressing on it.

Ahhh yes, I always get that way too after finishing a fic that I've put a lot of time and effort into. I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about, love!

Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ♥ Oh man, I was stressing over such stupid things yesterday. I can be so worst-case-scenario sometimes, it's sort of embarrassing. :x I mean, I was even worrying that it'd maybe gotten caught by your spam filter, or worse (I'm seriously a dork, I know) that it'd be really bad and you'd regret agreeing to beta it.

And I really appreciate it extra much, because I know I do write in an overly-complex way at times. Didn't help I was rushing and didn't self-edit along the way as much as I tend to sometimes. I don't forget that your native language is German, but you're so good and solid with English that it didn't occur to me how much work it might be for you to deal with. So thank you for putting up with that. I really do need to simplify when I write. ^^;

It's also a relief to see what sort of edits are to be done, and they're all definitely very doable. I just get tired and unable to think when sick, so I was sort of stressing that editing would be harder with this cold. But it really looks okay. You've made absolutely awesome suggestions. :) Oh god, the two space thing though. ^^; This is what really shows my age. Back in college, that was still the normal style...but that was near 16 years ago. : / I have no idea when it changed, but it's never even occurred to me to retrain myself. Should be fun making myself remember. XD

I've learned to be pretty chill when it comes to not hearing back from a beta right away, but it can still be really nerve wrecking to wait for feedback. And I'm super sorry - I got the email on Sunday night right before going to bed, was busy on Monday, and totally forget to at least let you know I got the email.

As I said, your writing style works really well with the plot and genre. I wish I could write like that.

Yeah, I'm really sorry I was so impatient. :( I normally am better than that (well, normally meaning the last time I had a project worth betaing and had fellow fans to ask), but back then I'd left myself plenty of time. It was definitely my fault for taking forever to finally do the actual writing, so there was so little time left before posting. I really do owe you for being willing on such short notice and fitting me in when you had rl things going on already. ♥

*hugs* again :) It seems to be doing okay over at the community at least! My flist...not so much. ^^; But oh well. Hopefully next time I do something it'll be more interesting for people, heh.
