In spnland news, did a banner and a couple icons for one challenge. Thank god it wasn't a 'vote on it' type >_< I suuuuuck at that sort of thing. See:

Though, to be honest...I kind of like how the banner turned out. >_> I might add it to my profile page. I need to catch up on challenges though >_< Going to skip the meta one though, I think. I just...I'm terrible at that style of thinking, and with having started with season five, I just don't feel like I know enough to come up with some sort of thesis/argument thing (catching up via a few eps, spoilers, ep summaries, and a metric ton of fics just doesn't quite give the depth of knowledge :p ). But mainly it's because I really, really suck at that sort of thinking. Essays and papers were not fun in school :( Even if I bs'ed my way to A grades on 'em. (Just happy I finished the LJ entry challenge \o/ So freaking nervous that I'll be told I did it wrong. My stomach's practically in knots.)

I'm curious about this spnland stuff. I checked out the page a couple weeks ago and it all seemed a bit overwhelming and confusing. Is it simpler than it looks?

So far, it feels like there's a *ton* to do, but I suppose that's just because I'm trying to participate a lot. I think the minimum they require is like one challenge a month. But it's a mix of challenges, which is why it can be confusing--graphics, writing, games...not sure quite all what to expect since I'm brand new to it. But if a person tries to do every challenge, man it keeps you pretty busy, heh.

Oh, that's right. :D Any new projects that you've been working on? I suppose if I really wanted to learn something crafty, I'd be better off going back to crochet--maybe I'd remember the little bit I started to learn back when I was 13 (hah, probably not, that's yikes, over a couple decades ago ^^; ).

Not really, I've mostly been working on my BB. I taught myself how to do crochet after years of not doing it. I had learned when I was a kid from my grandma. I'd check out The Happy Hooker, that's what helped me learn it again.

I put that book on my amazon wishlist so I could remember it--if I keep wanting to try crochet again, I'll pick it up. And I have a couple friends that would be full of GLEE if I did and would probably want to teach me. They've been trying to get me into crochet, knitting, and cross stitch with them for ages.
