whitereflectionItem #1 -- Tapes
I LOVE YOU, MOE!! >D >D *pouncetacklesglompshugs Moe* I got my package yesterday--and I was expecting the one tape (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi aka Spirited Away), but I didn't know about the tape full of Gacktness she was sending. If she'd told me she was going to do that, I'd completely forgotten. GACKT!!! >D Dear gods, what a living, breathing bishounen. *gurgles, drools* I love his voice, but the way he looks... *purrs* I'd say there needs to be a law that he should wear nothing but painted-on, skin-tight pants, but he seems to do that already. :D Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to watch much last night--when I fell asleep during his Oasis video, I knew it was time for bet--but still...Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! >D I can't wait to watch more...and I need to find the time to watch Sen--preferably with at least Anj, if not others around. I can't wait for Anj to see this, she's going to be so excited! >D >D *maniacal giggling*
Item #2 -- Sheet music
Four words: X-Japan sheet music *online*!! >D Eeeeeeeeeee! I was searching on the web yesterday for guitar music (and found a huge amount of music and tabs for anime, games, and j-pop/j-rock put together by amateurs...but more on that in a moment) when I found where someone had scanned in the *entire* X-Japan Ballade Songbook--holy cats on a stick!! >D So yes, I saved every single page's image (happy happy jpegness!), and even took a moment last night to print out the four pages of sheet music for 'Forever Love' >D Eeeeeeee! No, I can't play it yet, but I can learn...I *swear* to you, I will learn!! *dramatic pose with a fist in the air in front of a crashing wave and rising sun* Unfortunately between the scan and the fact that the image had to shrink a bit for each page to fit onto 8.5x11 paper (guess the dimensions of the book are larger than that), it's a touch blurry, but hey it's better than nothing. I have official X-Japan sheet music saved to my hard drive! Eeeeeeeeee! >D Tonight I may have to print out Endless Rain, Tears, or Longing. Or maybe all of those. *hanyaaaaaaan*
And I have to go and save/download more of that amateur stuff I was finding yesterday. Sometimes it's just the guitar tabs, sometimes it's just part of the music--like the melody, or a fragment of the song (the chorus, the solo, etc), but a ton of anime music (or people's interpretations/arrangements of them) are posted out on the web. Looks like there's not just websites or webrings, but boards/groups for this sort of stuff. >D Eeeeee! How fscking cool! >D One particular thing I found yesterday was where someone had written out their approximation of the melody line from White Reflection--I naturally printed it out and plan to play with that a bit tonight or when I next practice. I just love how much is out there without having to spend a ton of money--though yes, I will buy official sheet music when I can, but this will be a great fill in for those times when my resources are committed elsewhere. :D
Not hugely much else to "Eeee!" about--legs are the same, worries and stresses about insurance forms and the car are the same. I did get word that the car is officially totalled--but I can't fill out the appropriate forms until James gets back, since both our names are on the title, and therefore both our signatures are required. I'm hoping that I don't tire out so quickly tonight--I'm getting *VERY* impatient with my inability to stay awake until my usual crash-times. Dunno...at the least, I'm hoping to be able to call *someone* tonight--haven't been able to stay at the computer long, since I don't have a way to prop my leg up and still type (unlike here at work where my computer tower is *perfect* for propping my leg on, with just enough space below the desk so I can use the bag of ice on it)--and I'm really, really missing everyone. Must call Nix, and Kea, and I owe Lemming a call back, and... *flails* Miss you all!! Hm, maybe I can work on that after dinner with Dad and calling Mom (wonder if James will try to call from GenCon at all--he did leave me a message from the hotel that they'd gotten there ok...)
