Screw work...
Jul. 5th, 2002 09:29 amOhyeah, I almost forgot. I've been here a whole hour and a half, and here's the computer play by play so far:
1. Crashed upon startup. Had to use the reset button to reboot.
2. Netscape 6.2 crashed, and took the whole machine with it. Had to use the reset button to reboot.
3. Like an idiot, closed Netscape, which then had "performed an illegal operation" crash *twice* when I tried to start it up again.
4. Computer crash when I tried to open the OCLC cataloging program.
5. Netscape "illegal operation" when I tried to start it up again.
><;;; Dear gods. Can I just bring my iMac in there, please? Can I? Gah...and I just know it's going to crash during shutdown at the end of the day yet *again*. XP I hate this machine.

Date: 2002-07-05 01:02 pm (UTC)Here, at work--I gotta go with what Systems recommends. Though I'm going to ask about going back to Netscape 4.73, or using Mozilla--the worst they can say is no. I *could* use IE for work or home, but...*shrugs* ^^; I am on a crusade to avoid it, simply because it's worked its way into a near monopoly. It's the principle of the thing... ^^;
Or maybe I could tell Systems that if they want me using Netscape 6.2, they need to give me a more powerful machine with more RAM. XD Yeah, that'll fly, uh huh. Heh.
