^^ Di needs to remind herself of two rather important things: she who has cut back on sugar and caffeine (from Code Red all day, to just a couple of diet colas in the am and at lunch) should not drink a regular Coke after 11:30 at night, even if it is that trippy new vanilla style. I got...rather buzzy. (Di also needs to quit referring to herself in the third person... ^^;; *flails*)

Lesson number two: trying to find your Dad a Dragon Ball Z cel (don't ask me why he's a fan, he just is ^^;) for this upcoming Fathers' Day may *seem* like a good idea--until you remember to consider the fact that DBZ is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGELY popular and has been out for eons. So there's *no* cels out there, anymore--well, there are a few, but they're far more expensive than I'm willing to spend on Dad, much as I think he's nifty. But I mean, *DUH*. I should have realized that right away, rather than spending a lotta time searching on the web to figure it out--eh, I don't have a lot of common sense sometimes. >_<; *flails again* ...but at least it gave me something to do at 1am when I was trying to work off my Coke buzz.

But hey--I celebrate! I got a bunch of unpacking done, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! *flails arms about giddly a la a cheering Kermit the Frog* It took all afternoon and evening, but I emptied out fifteen boxes of books, and now all I have left to unpack book-wise is the box with my Star Trek novels in it. Amazing what can happen when I flip the switch from "lazy" to "productive". ^^ I have to admit, it might have taken less time, but I ended up having to rearrange all the videotapes I'd previously unpacked to make enough room for the books. We have a rather lot. There are bookshelves, or things acting as bookshelves, on three walls of that bedroom we're using as a library. Jinkies. ^^;; Now I can start weeding out and unpacking knick-knacks, then get stuff hung up on the walls--geez, I might get all that crap done after all! :D

Oh, heard a commercial on the radio on the way in for the company Qwest (ie. Qwest Telechoice of phone, TV, and online infamy >< )--they were trying to recruit for employment, and the comment was something to the effect of "Having Qwest on your resume is like having 120 on your speedometer...!" And my brain immediately went: 'Something I'll never get full use of because of inefficiency and lack of power?' 'Something that will cause you great trouble and hassle if you try to access it?' 'Something that isn't there?' (Seriously, my speedometer only goes up to 110...come on, I have a non-sporty, wussy little 1995 4-door Saturn SL, thank you very much >_< *flails*) *rolls eyes* I keep reminding myself that Qwest isn't as bad as having Cox for the same services--I mean, they both suck, but Cox is really, really unethical. But sometimes I can't help but snark about the company. Eh.

...gee, look at this work to do. But...but... *sings badly* IIIIIIIIIIII don't wanna work--I wanna bang on de drum all day! Woo woo woo! *dances about*

... ... ^^;; Um. Sorry. Must be that sugar/caffeine boost from last night, despite the fact that it's surely worn off by now, I blame it anyway. Really. ... *flails* Um, anyway...I'll...I'll just go work now. Er. ^^;

!! Heeeey, that's an awesome idea! I've actually seen those around, at the comic stores and Suncoast and whatnot--I could even snoop for something like that online, gasp. ^o^

*hee hee* Tho I bet my stepmother would kill me if I actually go through with it--her decor is rather elegant and color coordinated, and not real blendable with DBZishness... But hey, that'd be up for her and Dad to work out! >D As they had to do when my brother bought Dad a Goku alarm clock (and ohdeargods, is that thing horrid!! XD

*grin* Yep, it's for them to argue what to do with it. They can compromise like my parents had to do when Dad decided to get a 6 foot sailfish stuffed and mounted. It went in the basement, Mom was holding out for him to have to take it to work ^__~
