Liked the first volume best. Especially the bathhouse chapter. *Especially* the bathhouse chapter. Epic fight, shadow-silhouette fight, Gogo (*Gogo*<3), O-Ren (*O-Ren*<3<3), the absolute breathtaking beauty of the swordfight in the snow, the ending enka song. Marvellous tributes to spaghetti westerns and martial arts and samurai films everywhere, in the whole shebang, yeah.
But all was good, both volumes. And the soundtrack *kicked* *effing* *ass*. Am going to acquire, somehow. Surprising amount of humor and charm in it all, especially the first film. And Elle's outfit for the second volume--I could *so* cosplay that. Awesome, spiffy look (tho I'd have to keep the shirt from showing so much chest, eh).
...so...yeah...Bride/Gogo or O-Ren/Gogo, I don't suppose there's any sorta fics out there...or if there is they probably suck...or are horrid, cookie-cutter smutfests or something. >_> Or perhaps I shouldn't even be admitting my mind went there. So, yeah.
*plots purchasing of movies and soundtrackage* Seems Kel at least, maybe Gina, will be acquiring the movies too. Kel is gonna get the other Tarantino flicks--I might get her to show me Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs some time.
