Time Rolls On
May. 16th, 2005 08:50 amVisited my aunt in Seward Saturday, and that went ok. Dave cleared her computer of spyware, James set her up to get some more RAM soon, and I mostly was disliked by her bichon frisee dog and slept some (I'm so useful). She took us out for prime rib at the country club, which was decent. And now I have one of those odd rubbery armband/bracelet things, as she had some for ovarian cancer awareness (teal colored)--and yeah, I'm wearing it.
Yesterday was a craptastic WoW day. Spent hours having groups partially form and then fall apart--either people were only online a short time, or we were waiting on them, or they had to go and took forever to come back or didn't come back at all, or they'd join the group and suddenly be called away, or... Just on and on. Like runny jello--nothing would set. Finally got a 5-person group to BRD, and thanks to one person it blew chunks and sucked ass. Between this one person being a jackass and my own stupidity, I died 6 maybe 7 times (yay, 1.75+g repair bill, my highest yet). Signed off early after the group gave up, just didn't want to deal with it anymore. Might go back to ST or maybe BRD tonight, but only if specific people are on (there's guild folks and some on my friends list that play well). Oh, and my new boots are nice stats, but freaking ugly--decent new dagger, too, but had to buy that because I never get crap for drops.
Recently, my brother converted the phrase 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak' on a translation site to various languages and then back to English, the most amusing of which was Portugese: 'The spirit is arranged, but the meat is tuxedo'.
So my friend Michael the Methodist minister found out last week he gets to move. To a place that's 3+ hours away. What's better, he wasn't given the 3 month warning that's normal--no, he has 5 weeks. And normally they get three offers, with the ability to say no to the first two, and then you have to take the third offer to stay as a minister--but no, he was told take it or leave it with the first offer. Ain't that just freaking mighty white of his bishop? I already was planning on not going anymore if Michael ever was moved, but this clinches it--I will have *nothing* to do with organized religion. If James wants to go somewhere, that's fine, but leave me to be non-practicing agnostic kthxmuch. (Bad enough that I'm not even Methodist--was confirmed Lutheran when I was a kid.)

New Offspring song. I like extremely much (even though I've only heard it once, this am on the drive in). The Offspring's one of those bands I like pretty much every song they do, for some reason. (And yeah, you know me--makes me wish I could do a NaruSasuNaru fic or AMV.)
