More later (something of actual import), but first--

First day back to work, first day getting up at 5:30 for like a week. Freezing rain. No time for Starbucks (at least I have tea). Persistent headache. Desperately wanted/needed sleep last night, but couldn't worth crap. So yes, it is a fab day. >_>

Freaky night of WoW last night--started normally by getting a quest done by grouping with a random person, and doing some stuff on my own. Then saw some people doing a quest I'd been avoiding and thinking of abandoning. Deep Water, Vast Sea, or some such name, I forget exactly. Waffled a bit, finally decided to join that group. Was the most OMFGWTFHELL quest ever. Four people to start, eventually five, and I have never died so much. Everyone was dying over and over and over, left and right. Not like we weren't equal or well above the critters--it's just it was *underwater*. So lots of critters, poor visability, time limits on how long until you die from lack of air, and folks like me who can't steer to swim worth *Crap*. Fuck, it was the most nightmare hell quest ever. *Not* good for those who have phobias of water and drowning :x

But! Frankly, that was the most patient, persistent, determined, flexible group of people I've ever stumbled into. Yeah, we were aghast at how the quest went, but there was no getting upset with each other at all--not even at me, who was bumbling so bad and contributing so little. Not when we all had to go back to town because all of our equiptment durability went crap-broken. These people even put up with me wasting time to run off to buy a waterbreathing potion (hahaha, even better, when I came back to the group and discovered the person had gypped me in the trade somehow--taken my money and not given me the item, and I hadn't thought to check. I give that person the benefit of the doubt that they were bumbling as much as I was with trade mechanics and made a mistake. -_- )

Anyway, awesome group of people. No one left until we'd made sure everyone retrieved the two items from the two shipwrecks, even though it meant going back so damned often. But we did it. And not only did folks do the 'feel free to friend me if you need help later', but one person invited us all to the guild he was a member of, so Sasuke-rogue is now a member of the DoomBringers. (Still only lvl 19, but I'm breathing down 20). So it was a pretty freaking neat if not weird night.

Unfortunately, my brain decided not to shut down, despite being exhausted. Had relentless WoW dreams all night then, the sort I woke from every few minutes as I tried to convince myself repeatedly it wasn't real. (Stupid dreams, too, that there was stuff I was screwing up for the guild--nice to see I stress over stupid things while I sleep.) Think I will do dinner and crash asap tonight, as I hurt from the tired-dead-ness.

Short workshop session I have to be at at 10, I'd better get productive first. We're always hit hard here after that week and some days off. (Ohyesand... >_> Former asst. dean/interim dean is now a member of our dept--head of Technical Services, to replace our dept. chair when she retires. So I'm gonna have to be more careful in a lot of ways, I can tell.)
