Like ocean's surf that breaks upon the beach,
A crashing lullabye against warm sand,
The rumble of your heartbeat comforts me--
Soft, steady, endless pulse beneath my hand.

Your deep, slow breathing beckons me to sleep,
Hushed siren's song that captivates my ear;
As gusts of wind caress the waves and sea,
The whispered sound entices my dreams near.

As languor's kiss thus leaves me pleasant-numb,
I nestle closer to your solid heat
And bask as if below the tropic's sun,
Your chest a cushion underneath my cheek.

Forever as the oceans, deep and vast--
So, too, my love for you will always last.

...I confess that I think of the above as from a Kaidoh POV. Sad that I can't do anything separate from fandom, it seems like sometimes. *winces* And to tell the truth, as much as I want to think of it as InuKai, the RP Kaidoh is more in my head right now. >_> So Arty, guess this is that poem I'd said I'd do way back when. (Ok, I know I said haiku then, but heck with it. :p )

Speaking of haiku...here's a bonus item (*rolls eyes* of sorts), written a couple nights ago.

fingers brush over
singing skin -- low moans slow-dance
with whispering touch
