Behind yet again. Bah.
Jan. 14th, 2003 06:42 pmOkay, so a quick play-by-play:
Saturday--After my post in the am, Anj ended up coming over as both dryers were broken at her apt. complex. While she did laundry, we read Azumanga Daioh manga, and she studied in prep for the second semester Japanese class starting up this week. This finally got my interest sparked again, and I spent some time working on hiragana--learned about 10, so I'm up to 25 total. :) Plus around 12 or so kanji (not that impressive, really--just the numbers 1-10 plus a few assorted others). Worked a touch on sharpie-inking an old sketch, and started a new 'stained glass'-esque design. Had dinner at Cosmos with Anj, Gina, and James, and we all saw Signs at the cheap theaters.
Sunday--Got my own laundry done. Messed around on the web too much. Made up a stockpot full of minestrone-style chicken vegetable soup from scratch--not perfect, but mostly successful. :) Filled the rather lg. stockpot mostly full, so we have tons of leftovers (will freeze a bunch of it for later--don't wann a get sick of it and/or for it to go bad). Finished doctoring up that bit of GoodOmens fanart I'd found a while ago, and sent the image to the artist in hope that they would find it amusing/cute. Got a little happy time with Nix and Kea during the evening--even got to talk to Sue a bit. And I must must must worship Sue--for because of her, I have mp3s from Duel Jewel's newest CD, Noah. WAI! *dances* I t is awesome, cool stuff--been listening to it constantly (I can *not* wait to see them again at Akon). *megathankyouglompshugs for Sue!*
Monday--...work. Eh. Kinda a blah day--ended up crashing on the couch early, then woke up enough to drag myself to bed. Bleh.
Today--Very blah day at work. *shrugs* Least I have a job, and I'm not like a personal tester of thermometers at Johnson&Johnson ^^; . Trying to make myself do something productive this evening and not just fall asleep again. Dunno what tho--still am really tired, and huddling under a blanket sounds really good (it's been mostly mild this winter, but today it's really cold...).
Hmf...my hands are *absofreaking* freezing (feeling rather cold in general), and I'm scary drowsy. Don't wanna waste yet another evening of hard-to-come-by free time, but I think that under the blanket option is winning...
