One movie to rule them all
Dec. 19th, 2002 10:37 amI want to see Two Towers. I mean, I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see Two Towers. Michael got taken out to see the midnight showing Tuesday night, and I about cried because I wouldn't get to go with. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see Two Towers. Everyone else is getting to go, or has gone. Heck, I haven't even seen the second Harry Potter yet, or Nemesis, or the scad of other flicks I've been waiting on. But I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see Two Towers--and there's no time to do so before we fly out to Seattle Saturday. And I don't think we'll be able to go while we're out in Seattle...so it's probably going to be the first weekend in January before I'll get a chance to go. I hope I can then, at least. I'm gonna wack out if I have to wait even longer than that. Damn, I wanna see that movie bad.
Didn't get to crash early last night. Needed to repair some of those Hot Topic type shirts I like so much--three of 'em had lost seam containment in some form or another. Now, keep in mind I *SUCK* at anything to do with sewing. SUCK. And I don't have a machine, so I was doing this by handstitching. God, I suck at it. Got one shirt repaired ok, but the other two need patches. Lets just say it takes *forever* to handstitch on a patch, especially since I'd chosen a large, irregularly shaped one. Idiot me. *flails* So I was up until after 1 working on just that little bit I finished--still got three patches to sew on. Least they're smaller and normal shaped, and hopefully they won't take as long.
My order from Past Times didn't come in again. I'm stressing out about everything anyway, but I'm really pissy about that. I'll see if it arrives tonight, but if it doesn't by tomorrow, they *will* be compensating me *somehow*. They said it shipped, but come on, I placed the order on the 23rd of November. It's not *my* fault it didn't get processed until the 25th and shipped until the 28th. This if fscking ridiculous, especially since their shipping method only works on business days (is it UPS? Dunno). Doesn't help that they have to ship from England. But I mean, hell, if you're going to operate in the US, either make sure things mail quickly internationally, or open a damned warehouse in the States. Criminy!
Discovered last night, when packaging the few packages I did have ready (finally had more packing materials, plus everyone's addresses!), that I'd forgotten to send Sue part of hers. Gah. ^^;; I'm so damned scattered. But at least I can get those packages out, even if my order doesn't arrive. Most of the stuff I wouldn't have given until we got back anyway--and we can always call James' mother and explain that hers will be late. I'm just annoyed because I thought I was being good and getting started on things early. Meh. Stress stress stress.
*still mumbling about seeing Two Towers*
