They're selling donuts out in the staff lounge to help raise money for our Christmas party. Hence, I have determined that all food eaten in the name of charity or donating money has no calories or fat. Wooha. Though I really shouldn't eat something that messes with my blood sugar levels this bad, but ya know, what the hell and why not? If I get crash-snarky later, I'll only be out on the Docs Desk dealing with the public. >D

Last night I finally started working with that hiregana workbook Anj lent me, and now I can recognize and write (badly) about 10. Already I find myself practicing in odd places, like last night when I was getting ready for bed, and I started doodling hiregana using the bits of water splashed up on the bathroom counter. ^^; I also had a real anal retentive moment where I worked on organizing my mp3 library--meaning, I made sure all band names were spelled consistently and correctly, adjusted names and titles to actually have capitalization, made sure they all were categorized, etc.--yes, this meant going through 840+ mp3s individual song by individual song. God, I'm an obsessive perfectionist sometimes. >_<;

I have absolutely no work for our student workers to do--and we have both of them coming in today. GAH. *flails* My fricking supervisor was an idiot to have pushed me to hire that second student. We could barely keep the one we had busy. Why the hell does she get to do something moronic, then I'm left looking like the fool when I'm fumbling to keep the student workers occupied? Meh. >_<

Oh, and just because I'm months behind schedule, here's one of the main sites archiving photos from August's Anime Iowa (where I did that Macrocosm costume):

w00t.

And I really shouldn't have eaten that donut. It was way too fricking sweet. XP Bleh.

Yay! Macrocosm! You did such an awesome job with that! =D
Now I truly am boggled though. No blue paint left in the hotel room... O_o

Do what I do when I'm stuck having to find work for people. Tell them how stupid the boss is, and find some tiny little thing for them to do, then admit to them that you're just helping them look busy so nobody gets on their case. For instance, you can have them eat more donuts, it's for charity, and for work!

*beams, bows many times* Thank you, thank you. ^__^ I don't think the pictures showed the detail very well, but it still looked decent. Someday I have *got* to show you the outfit in person. But yeah, no paint in the hotel room, none at home except little bits that wiped up with water and a paper towel real easy. Kinda scary--something like that looks like it shoulda resulted in blue splatters on the walls and ceiling. ^^

Heh--and I was nearly going to be doing the sorts of things you were saying, here. After all, my supervisor's out sick again. *rolls eyes* But I ended up sending both students up to our main stacks to dust books/shelves--*LUCKY* them. >p Ah well. They're getting paid, and we've gotten a few new books in, so they'll have some real work the rest of this afternoon and tomorrow. Meh--it kinda sucks being a 'kinda-sorta-but-not-really' pseudo-supervisor. ^^;

Yes. I will see it in person. And then, I will sing Kazoku Kaigi. *determined pose*

I know. I have to be a 'kinda-sorta-but-not-really' pseudo-supervisor everytime we get a newbie. O_o "So, what do we do?" "Now? We...SWEEP!" "...why?" "Because it makes us look busy, so they'll leave us alone."
