a momentary lack of earthquakes

whitereflectionAwman, I forgot the Boobquake thing was today. And here I am just slumming around the house in my usual gender neutral t-shirt which definitely shows no cleavage (to be honest, my standard sort of shirt. To show cleavage I'd have to wear one of my button-down camp shirts and unbutton some.)
The guild officers are talking about doing a merger with another Eldre'Thalas guild, Warpath. It's bringing up bad memories of when I went through something similar during vanilla WoW on Alleria. And the Alleria guilds actually had the benefit of we'd known each other, Lunar Eclipse and Element Chaos, since the earliest days of raiding with the UGA (was it United Guilds of Alleria?), and then splitting off to raid together for quite some time. All that time knowing each other and raiding together, and the merger still went poorly. Still was all "us" and "them", and feeling like the them ruined the us. And this would be doing that with strangers, people only some of us know and haven't ever raided with. I'm not happy about the concept at all. I didn't feel it worked for LE+EC->LC, I really don't think it'd work in this case.
Speaking of WoW, did some quests alliance side with Nin I'd somehow managed to skip on Sas, and discovered two pop culture references that made me full of glee. At one point a random mob npc says "Well played [character], well played indeed!" which gave me huge massive Clerks cartoon warm-fuzzes. And then another quest in the chain was titled "Delicate Sound of Thunder." There is nothing that makes me happier, for some god-unknown reason, than something I'm fanning on making references to other things I'm fanning on or have fanned on in the past.
