Okay. Okay. Okay. Um.
GODDANG I LOVED THAT. How much did I love that? This much is how much I loved that! \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/
Okay. Man, I dunno why I eat episodes up with a spork like this one, but oh how I do. Dry, dark humor, suspense, bit o' badassery, boys still together and fightin, great other characters \o/ With a spork!
Oh, but wait. I must...have a moment of silence. Oh, TricksterLokiGabriel. I didn't ever want to like you. I really didn't. I really tried not to after the whole Mystery Spot thing. But goddang, you wore me down this season. I liked you more and more and this episode, I adored you. You. Were. The. Win. But of course, they make me truly fall for you only to finally off you. Thus, I am sad. :( Toodles, Mr. TricksterLokiGabrielFTW. I shall truly miss you. *salutes*
But~♥ BEST GOODBYE BUT YET SNEAKYHELPFUL MESSAGE EVER. Casa Erotica 13 shall live on in infamy. :3 I laaaaughed, and ohman, Sam's reaction especially, but both Sam and Dean's. XD ♥ Too freaking fun.
So. Bits I really loved. Reassuring/nagging-at-Sam-to-take-care-of-himself!Dean? LOVELOVELOVELOVE ^_____^ ♥ And the lines, so many lines that made me giggle. "Please be tomato soup, please be tomato soup" and "Maybe later, big boy" and "Super fantastic!" (wow, who knew Mercury was so skeevycreepy?) and the "When I say 'Let's keep driving'" bit and ARMY OF DARKNESS LINE of "Hello, you primitive screwheads" ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Do you knooooow how gleeful I get to have an Army of Darkness quote in show? Do you knowwwwww? \o/ Well, I guess you do now. :p God, that makes me so fangeek. (And makes me still wish I had the brain/humor to write a Changing Channels/boys in Army of Darkness thing, seriously). Oh, and "...or you lame-ass bitches can eat me. Literally." lololol. Oh, Dean. ♥ Oh, Sam. Oh, Gabriel. Oh, writers for this show. ♥
It's too bad Odin got Lucifered, because he was cool. :p But Kali...ohman. I think I have a thing for Kali. A *thing*. :x She was really freaking fierce, and awesome and ohman, that fire magic. But um, I sort of had a moment as things were developing early on where I sort of wanted an Admiral Akbar sort to show up and say "It's a trap!" :p And subtle Sam is subtle, not. :P You'd think he'd be better at stealth following after all he's been through. Also also, you'd think after Swap Meat he'd be less shrug-it-off about sudden stinging sensations on his neck. :p Also also also: Sam's getting choked, must be Thursday. :3 Oh, show.
Other bits--I really, really liked the concept that all the pantheons exist, and interact/compete. I just am a bit bummed that the power levels are so disparate. Though show isn't about pantheon vs. pantheon, so I guess that's just how it's gotta be for their story. Just like God having nothing to do with it, they have to write in why other pantheons aren't the players in this. (But but but Kali :< ♥)
Also also: I am such a Pratchett dork. ¬_¬ There are so many origins of the whole world turtle concept, but whenever I hear it mentioned, my heart goes "Eeeeee Discworld♥ I am a doof. :p Oh and hey, was that an Avatar reference, show? :p :p :p (ie Pandora). Please say it isn't so, show. :p I swear, I am the last won't-watch-Avatar holdout in the entire world, heh.
Um, what else. OH. You know those prayer circle icons? What I wouldn't DO now for one that's of a can of Diet Orange Slice. I'm just sayin'. :|
And so, Lucifer's lookin real bad these days, yes? The scenes with Dean and Gabriel (in the car) and Gabriel and Lucifer were SO very awesome. And holy *beans* the bit with Pestilence at the end was SERIOUSLY GROSS. EW EW EW EW EW. Nasty. XP
Next ep looks AWESOMES \o/ And man, that Ghostfacers commercial totally had me fooled, was all WTF O_o How does this relate?! Sneaky, CW. (Though it is like the only CW commercial that isn't like lamelamelame :p)
So, in short. SHOOOOOOOOOOW ♥ \o/ And was I the only one during a certain scene to be all "Oh hey, head cheese. Heh heh." :p
\o/ \o/ \o/ ♥

Date: 2010-04-23 02:29 am (UTC)I was wondering if the Pandora thing was an Avatar reference or not. I think it was...
The Gabriel/Dean and Gabriel/Lucifer scenes were my favorites, too, so much awesome. I'm gonna miss that guy... angel... demigod... whatever.

Date: 2010-04-23 02:42 am (UTC)Whatever, indeed. (Don't forget pornstar at the end of that list XD )

Date: 2010-04-23 02:29 am (UTC)I didn't get the commercial until the end, very sneaky CW.
BTW, I haven't seen Avatar either but I had to laugh at the Pandora thing anyway.

Date: 2010-04-23 02:36 am (UTC)I'm also a little worried by how much enjoyment I got out of the bloodiness of Lucifer ganging the gods. The show sure has gotten away with the best blood spurts on tv! And Mark looked so frickin' AWESOME walking down that hall with blood soaked clothes and his burned skin looking like horns about to burst through his forehead.... Ugh!

Date: 2010-04-23 02:46 am (UTC)The bloodiness was AMAZING. I don't know why I find that badass, but I SO do. It's freaking well done, too. They really toe the line of great splatter vs too much very well. XD Here it was just *BADASS*, and I approve thoroughly. And goddang, yes, he looked INTENSE. They made him look as he should--THE freaking badass mofo villian. They really conveyed the powerful dangerous that they're writing him as, terribly well. Kudos to them. :D

Date: 2010-04-23 03:22 am (UTC)And, YES, they are so sneaky with their humor. I like it! :)

Date: 2010-04-23 03:32 am (UTC)And I was all "Native American lore! Native American lore!" at the world turtle bit.
This show makes me such an ubernerd. *L*
P.S. Kali was AMAAAZING.

Date: 2010-04-23 04:21 am (UTC)Mine, too. I can now die content. XD (I mean, holy beans, if there was ever anything that has Dean sense of humor written all the heck over it... X3 )

Date: 2010-04-23 06:42 am (UTC)Also, I am not sure what to think about Gabriel posing as Loki. Loki was actually pretty mean (which does coincide with what we know he has done in the past, posing as the Trickster and actively killing people with his jokes), but it doesn't really computer with the Gabriel who came to light in Mystery Spot and definitely not with the angel Gabriel we got to know in Changing Channels.
Then again, it's probably a long time since he posed as Loki. Before all this apocalypse stuff. XD

Date: 2010-04-23 12:36 pm (UTC)Oh, and ♥♥♥ those last few screencaps you posted. Mmmm, carnage indeed. The cinematography was just awesome in those bits--Lucifer seriously feels powerful and dangerous. And it's interesting, the dead-angel-black-wings thing's not new, but that particular shot was the first time I felt my heart about skip at it. Just something about it that gives me goosebumps. :x

Date: 2010-04-23 09:25 am (UTC)not that I wasn't enjoying it but it was being a pretty weird one. I was kind of O.o all the time. And at least Lucifer brought some spicy in there. XD LOL
I liked that they consider all other religions and gods though. The series has always only considered the Christian's icons all in all..... :)
too bad Gabriel died though. I really liked him lately. And in this episode he was great.

Date: 2010-04-23 02:41 pm (UTC)IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER. Really, I can't put into words how much I've missed interactions like this.
And man, the episode was awesome. I kind of love Lucifer, I think (though I totally want the boys to kick his ass). I'm kinda of sad that Gabriel is dead, though man, I loved how it happened because the scene was AWESOME. The hurt on Lucifer's face *sniffles*

Date: 2010-04-23 05:38 pm (UTC)I loved how it happened because the scene was AWESOME.
YES \o/ All the work they put into his character made this hit even that much harder, and the scene itself was so incredible. If it had to happen, that was *the* perfect way for it to play out. Just so intense, emotional, vivid. And holy cats, do they know how to do villains on this show--Lucifer frightens me like WHOA, but I'm absolutely entranced by him. Ah, the writing and acting just wows me at times. ♥
