from last night's gathering

recipe:

1. graham cracker square
2. top with Marshmallow Peep (in this case, bunny shape, pink: http://www.candydirect.com/peeps-marshmallow-bunnies-pink-12-piece-tray-2-count?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse)
3. Microwave on plate for 8-10sec or until Peep goes POOOOOOOOOOOOF and swells up. Mad scientist laugh optional.
5. Top with half a chocolate bar (we used Hershey's Special Dark, since milk chocolate is so sugary--the Peep is so covered in sugar already).
6. Top with other graham square.
7. Squish together. NOM.


Also, so I did icons for the spnland Mary icon challenge. No way I'm good enough to win anything, but they were okay. I actually tried using filters and effects, so it was a learning experience. Except for that first challenge, I kinda suck at spnland ^^; Least it's all fun, heh.

I got sorted JUST too late for that FML contest. Too bad, I ROCK at short fic. I haven't got a clue how to make icons - like the lighting effect on the 2nd oe, though!

Aw, that's too bad. More entries would have been awesome for that FML stuff.

And thanks! I don't have a clue on icon stuff either--I'm just learning the freeware program GIMP. Usually I just crop and scale, this time I just poked around at their filters and effects to see what would happen. ^^; I forget what I did to the base image, but added a light effect to the top corner, then a lens flare. I needed to try to make the whole thing brighter first, though, I think.

I love the first one! I don't know what it is about this round of spnland, but I'm pretty much hating everything I come up with/failing at challenges. The quote icon deadline totally snuck up on me and my ooc manip thing sucks balls

I fear the OOC thing. :< I thought it was going to be okay, and had some ideas, but every time I've gone to work with it I end up all "AUGH I don't know how to do this WTF AUGH". Sooooo, probably going to skip that, too, as well as the poster thing I'm not handing in. D: I'm still hoping to try the coloring book thing, I think. Depends on how I feel tomorrow, because I'm sort of useless today, heh. Man, I can relate to the hating everything you come up with thing. ^^;;; I'm even worried on the genderswitch thing--because I've been in the *mood* for trying that lately, so you'd think it'd be perfect. But criminy, can't seem to write anything at all for awhile now. Is driving me a bit mad D:

I handed in my OOC, but I'm not expecting much from it. I wasn't going to do the poster one, but now that they've said that nobody has entered, I feel bad. I still don't have any ideas, but I feel like I should at least make an effort. I have an idea for the colouring one, but I don't know if I'm actually going to do it. I feel like such a slacker.

Aw thank you :D I really liked how adding the lighting effect and the lens flare combined, especially with the movement in the original shot. Now I just wish I'd brightened the whole thing before adding the effects--the background just seems kinda dark.

And \:D/ woo, Peep s'mores! That's awesome XD Perfect for Easter dinner--we have a bunch of graham crackers still, so I'll probably do the same that day. 8D Maybe chick Peeps that time, heheh.
