Yeah, so I'm always behind the times, always always. Tonight I finally got to try out God of War (yes, the original, yes, I know GoW3 is due out soon ^^; ). Anyway! Freaking. FUN. Aaaaaaawesome fun. Even if it does seem really dark on our TV. Played it for several hours this evening as Anj walked me through it and Kelly watched (after a jaunt to HuHot nom). Need need to find a used copy somewhere. \o/ Anj also brought over GoW2 and showed us one of the fights (the one with Zeus) and holy beans it looked hard--graphics were definitely improved over the original, which makes me think 3 will be damned nice.

Though I must admit, I think Blizzard artists/developers were definitely ah 'influenced' on the look of the Kologarn fight in Ulduar, after seeing part of that Zeus/GoW2 fight :p (the bit where he's giant and you only see his upper half).

Also, I am still pining for FFXIII. I'm just sayin'. :| And after spending so much time on Wynnchester (my paladin) in WoW, I am sort of--just sort of--wishing that's what I was playing as a main right now. At the least the levelling is SO freaking easy. And I know they're really damned good in endgame raiding right now ('course Ak could be as good if I didn't suck and also could play/wanted to play affliction spec or even metamorphosis spec). Makes me wonder if I would have played one as my first toon if I would have rerolled like I did.

I do not want it to be daylight savings time. T__T Such hate for that losing an hour thing. If I could ditch one thing about the U.S., it would be that, I swear.

Oh, and I wish I could send that little free squirrel v-gift to so very many of you. :( It only lets you do so to three... D: D: *hugs*! to everyone in lieu of that :| ♥

The only good thing about daylight savings time in the spring is an extra hour of daylight towards the end of the day. \o/

My Paladin is still at 72 and I kind of want to rename her Paladeckyou *snicker* - in part because it's funny (at least to me), and in part because her name is Couldbelupus and my main's name is Itsnotlupus, and it's all just VERY confusing when I say I'm going to "log on Lupus."

I started a hunter on a whim, not really planning to level it, but then it was SUPER FUN OMFG and her name is Harvelle, but damnit - I should have named her Winchesterette or some bullshit like that (since someone else snagged the name Winchester on my realm - also for a hunter).

/random WoW-rambles.

I'm waiting for FFXIV Online! :O

Ahaha, I like Paladeckyou, and it's really rather pathetic that it took me so very long to stop reading that incorrectly as Padaleckyou. >_>;; Your main's name, I will say, amuuuuuuuuuuuses me *so* very much. So very! X3 I about flailed at the idea of a hunter named Harvelle ^^ Hadn't thought of that one! I rather like it 8D

And ohhhh, I bet FFXIV Online would be so incredibly gorgeous! o_o I never did do FFXI Online, but I really had wanted to--just a combination of taking a class at the time it was starting, and (being a Mac user) needing to worry about all I'd have had to do to get my PS2 able to play it. Eventually it ended up easier to just try WoW, heh. If I ever end up with a PS3, I'd be tempted ^^ Though I'd be curious how soloing would be on it, since that still tends to be my favorite way of playing/levelling--I always had heard FFXI was a little more requiring of having party. I wonder if FFXIV would be a little friendlier towards friends being able to play together also--that was another thing I'd heard, that it was sort of hard to get on the same servers?

FFXI was a horrid game. No, seriously. It was like one of those terribad relationships that seemed like a good idea at the time, and you clung to it for years longer than you really should have just because "there's still this one good thing, at least, right?" but as soon as you're out, you're left with chlamydia and the vague sensation of the universe laughing at you.

You couldn't do anything alone. Leveling up took a sinful amount of time (I was unemployed and played for hours every day, and it took me about a year and 9 months to hit top level). Very very very few instanced events; everything was on world spawn timers. Ugh.

I'm waiting for FFXIV because Square-Enix claims to have learned from watching WoW's popularity, and so I hope the game will be easier than WoW. And I am never camping anything like in XI, ever again, hah!

Ohhh man XD I think it's probably good that I never ended up trying FFXI or stuff like Everquest for my first MMORPG experience. I would have quit and never tried any ever again. I hate having to group *all* the time (so need solo times to mentally destress ^^; ), tended to level way slower than everyone else as it was, and uuuuugh, I cannot *stand* competing for world spawns (so glad that WoW quit doing that for even a few bosses). Add in (at least for EQ, dunno about FFXI) experience debt for dying...

WoW for all its faults was really the perfect thing for a then MMORPG-n00b that I was. Also was and is good for the fact that I am pretty much a sucky gamer, despite how much I've loved playing stuff my whole life. XD; I'm curious to see what you and others will think of FFXIV--I definitely won't try it until I see a lot of reviews. ^^
