Finny, I made that vegetarian chili recipe you shared the other day and it was \o/\o/\o/ (http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1694187&cookbook_id=5075658) Naturally I had to mess with it though: added too much yellow squash and zucchini, and so it had to go in the stockpot on the stove rather than the crockpot because of running out of space. Also did tomato puree + vegetable broth (whole box over time because of stovetop causing it to cook down) instead of tomato juice since Mom's on a restricted sodium diet--thus the can goods were also no or low sodium. Also added minced garlic, dried parsley, dried celery flakes, a bit of dried minced onion, a bay leaf, and used several types of Mrs Dash (garlic/herb, original, and extra spicey). Topped it with a mix of sour cream and yogurt plus some cumin, tumeric, and cilantro (have some 'fresh' in a tube).

And that which is very not awesome: my friend Kelly's father had been very sick over the last few months, a severe infection he'd never bounced back right from. Yesterday Anj called to pass along news that there'd been complications, and he was given 'anywhere from a week to maybe months'--this morning she called to update that he'd passed away last night. Poor Kel (and her mother, too, who I knew from back when I worked at the library). There's never a good time, but right before Christmas, for some reason that just seems more painful.

And XD I should have known when you mentioned perfumes it'd be BPAL. Seems like eeeeveryone out there's into that stuff. Hadn't heard of 'em until after my fragrance allergies hit, so never was able to try them. /sadness

Yeah, I think I prefer the other ponytail, too. Though maybe just because it's what I got used to seeing him like. XD But I have a thing for plate wearing belf dudes with Kas' current hairstyle XD;

I have so many damned screenshots, but am so picky--even the ones I intend to turn into icons, I go meh when I look at them more closely and don't bother. I envy those with Photoshop and the skills to use it--could make pretty looking icons, not just trimmed ones. (Or even just good text icons like with that "/em gets an awkward boner" phrase XD )

Awesome, I'm glad you liked the chili! And hahaha, I tweak the ingredients, too; it seems to be very receptive to that sort of thing (I PUT IN SO MANY MUSHROOMS. Other stuff too, but OMG MUSHROOMS I LOVE THEM AHHH). Your version sounds delicious!

Mushrooooooooooooms ♥♥ Such luff for them, too! We did one pk of the normal white mushrooms, and one pk of little baby portabello type. NOM. Definitely gonna make it again, esp because it's something I can do that Mom here can eat as well (other than my one mulligatawny soup recipe, which is great, but really a pain to prep and thus doesn't get done often).
