Re: shoveling (I keep wanting to say shovelling but the spell-checker insists it is not so. Hmph.)

--Ahaha, I thought we were in the 20s. Nope, it's like 5F and the wind--which I thought had died down but noooo--is making it feel about -20F. Woo\o/ Being outside for a couple hours was FUN :D FUN, I tell you.

--The creepiest thing is the roarroarhisshowlwail of said wind in the dark just before dawn. It's not much better once it's light out. It's the sort of wind that makes a person invoke deities.

--Snowdrifts. AWESOME. \o/ Not sure what the average depth was, but lot of spots on the driveway that were up to my knees, sidewalk was about half that. Up by the front porch bush was like thigh level (poor Mom got that bit >_<; ) Wind's still going like crazy, we'll have to clean it all up again, I'm sure. How can powder be so dense and hard-packed, seriously.

--I am extremely out of shape, and the biggest wuss and whiner ever. This however, comes as no surprise. Real oatmeal (no instant crap, thx, there's real steelcut in the frozen section at SuperTarget, microwavable ♥) and cocoa are awesome, however.

http://omaha.com/article/20091209/NEWS01/712089947 Not sure I would call it 'epic', like they do, but it is something.

Re: something other than snow zomg
--WoW patch 3.3 is out \o/ Surprisingly not the bugfest I expected, lag was high once it hit evening, but that's unavoidable.

--New 5man dungeons were *neat*. More so than any other instances, they really make you feel part of a storyline, very involved, and the chain of one to another to another very much makes you feel part of the story.

--The 'need/greed/disenchant' system is surprisingly awesome. Love just getting the enchanting materials right off the bat. The new PUG system for assembling groups cross-server also works out pretty danged sweet. The automatic teleport to the instance is really cool, even if it meant I got goddamned *lost* trying to find the zone in on a corpse run.

--Haven't seen the Icecrown Citadel raid stuff yet, but will tonight. Guild's 10man group last night already got down the currently available bosses on regular mode.

Oh my god, this post terrifies me. And I thought 35 degrees was bad. DID YOU SAY -20? I would die if I was where you are. Literally just keeled over dead.

Yeah, 5F but wind chill makes it feel a lot, lot less. It's one of the fun things about the midwest, the way wind can be nasty during the worst storm. Too flat, not enough hills to block it. XD; Personally, I'd love to move to somewhere like Seattle--the husband is rooted, though. ^^; Bah.

We hit single digits in Seattle, and all thought we might DIE.

I've been sucked back into WOW - just about to head into the Pit of Saron for the first time. FUN!

Heeeh, I remember when Mom used to live up there (she moved back early last year), that I'd always call her a weather wuss. She'd lived in Omaha here all her life, but man when she got to Seattle, she forgot what weather extremes were like. :p Seattle reacts in such funny ways to weather--everything's a crisis that gets massive focus on the tv new, heh.

And awesome! XD New content always pulls people in, mwahaha. What'd you think? There's one spot in early Halls of Reflection I'm not fond of (just annoying, is all ^^; ), but all in all it's really neat. Also got to see a bit into the raid dungeon, and think I'm going to like that a bunch. Even if for the fact that it's not 'oh hey, spend all evening in one room' like the previous 10/25 thing.

I don't know how you guys do it. It's in the 20s/30s here and it's killing me.

I want to moooooooove ^^; I know the weather's not great in Seattle, but I've wanted to live there since college (the husband is rooted like a tree, though, and just won't even consider relocating)--and I know their extremes are nowhere near as bad as what I get in Nebraska.

*sends warm weather thoughts your way*
