Snooooooooow. Snoooooooooooooow. D< Not so \o/ about it today, as I had to drive in it, and I forgot my street coming from the east is IMPOSSIBLE to drive up when given more than a dusting thanks to just a tiny bit of hill. Hence, nearly couldn't get up the block to the house, took a good 10 minutes creeping inch by inch and all but killing the engine. I am never going outside again. ...wind chill of -15F tomorrow? Seriously. NEVER going outside again. Just FYI.

I should not have bought 2 poetry compilations at B&N. But I did.

And am noticing as others are that comment notifications aren't showing up. I see what you did thar, LJ :| No more kudos for j00.

Heh, Omaha, NE. The temps are 20s, but it's the wind chill that was the ugly thing. Though hopefully the worst of that passed last night--especially since I have to go out and shovel now. >_>;

And a couple general compilations--the 2009 edition of The Best American Poetry (because I was curious about finding new/current poets, I'm really not educated about contemporary work at all), and You Drive Me Crazy: Love Poems for Real Life. Mixed anthologies are fun \o/

Your icon makes me griiiiiiin whenever I see someone with it. X3

The 2009 of the Best American Poetry, and You Drive Me Crazy: Love Poems for Real Life :D Been very much on a kick for mixed anthologies of late, since my classes back in college (freaking years ago >_< ) never went into more contemporary works, so there's this huge gap in my knowledge of who's out there that I'll fall for. So, have to explore \o/ Been trying to do that the last few months, especially as I try to get back into poetry writing myself (get back into meaning have a little bit I do a month ago, then fail at it ever since again >_>; ) And still working on Beloved on the Earth: 150 Poems on Grief and Gratititude. I have this habit of skipping through and reading here or there, instead of cover to cover--so I need to do that and see if I have actually completed it or no. XD;

I swear I could buy so many more :x Waaaaaant *grabby hands* My latest crack, I guess, heheh.

I love anthologies for the same reason--you get to explore a variety of authors all at once. :D It's the best, hee hee. I will look for these next time I'm in the bookstore!

And now the shovelling D:

Got the 2009 of The Best American Poetry, and one called You Drive Me Crazy: Love Poems for Real Life. Been feeling very exploratory the last few months, trying to discover contemporary poets since that's a massive gap from college classes (which were 15 years ago anyway, ugh >_< ). It's been helping me find poets I want to explore further, and also been trying to get my head back into poetry for writing myself. Though there was a bit of an ulterior motive for getting The Best American Poetry--it lists what periodicals/journals/magazines where the poems had been published originally, so a good way of finding names of places to submit to. So I can file it under research, that's the ticket ;)
