stupid poetry tricks (writing like a highschooler for twenty years and counting)

I watch tv on Thursday nights
but only for an hour when the brothers save the world
The rest of the time it's off and I don't care
though sometimes I let my eyes out on recess onto its playground while I eat
Food Network's their monkeybars and sometimes Cartoon Network's a sandbox
and Discovery's the kickball that smacks me in the face
with a hollow rubbermetallic whomp
The televisions I should care about are the ones on the walls
that show the Outside Channel
twenty four seven and that cable never loses signal
But I really only glance at those while walking by
and the only ones that really watch them are the cats
who like the Bird Feeder Show and chitter-sing at the screens
like they're auditioning for Cat Idol
Mostly my tv's the one that shows the clips of other peoples' lives
(the only reality shows I'll ever watch)
and has these channels with shows about
these guys that fall in love in a million and one different ways
while sometimes saving the world or sometimes just having normal lives
My favorite series though is the one where I'm a hero
slaying dragons and defeating bad guys over and over
and over and over and over
And yeah I like that one the best because in it I kick ass
and I'm pretty.
