"What's my age again...?"

whitereflectionRight. 29. I'll spend half the year forgetting and trying to say I'm 28, and no one will believe me if I say my correct age anyway. Right.
Anyway. Weekend-at-a-glance.
1. Friday: Usual work thing. Practiced on Unmei, and it actually didn't sound half-bad. Folks came over and we watched a very dark copy of Gensomaden Saiyuki Requiem--but it was still vieable, still a nice fansub, and still kicked *fscking* ass! *dances* Frankly, it's gorgeous--Nix, Kea, and Kenji, I'm already arranging for copies, so don't worry. Then we rewatched Spirited Away so James and Gina could see--Gina had the reaction I was hoping to get from Anj (but I guess Anj arranged the surprise with more subtlety--so Gina ended up shrieking when she realized what we were showing. Heh.) The two movied together ran us past 1:30 am, tho. >_<;;
2. Saturday: I was supposed to get a ton of stuff done, but didn't. Anj had a major computer crisis (it just wouldn't turn on), and was so upset she needed distracting. So we wandered around Oakview mall to find her accessories for her AI Lain costume. She didn't find much, but I found some trinket silver rings and this funky colored bracelet (there goes Grandma's birthday money she sent me). We watched Digicharat at her place--at which point her computer spontaneously decided to work again. Anj got me a silver crescent moon pendant from Next Millenium as a b-day thing (it's most keen, and I've wanted one for *years*). Then she, James, Gina and I hung out at our place until really late, while Anj helped me cut black foam core boards into big ovals for my AI Macrocosm of the Universe (from Excel Saga) costume. She actually remembered enough of hs/college physics to do the 'use two focal points and a string to draw an ellipse' thing. *applauds* Then we stayed up too late watching some South Park, Sealab 2021 and Aqua Teen Hunger Force that Mom had taped for me. (Ohyeah--Mom'd taped some Spongebob Squarepants, too, and told us we *had* to watch it. *twitch* She, my brother, and Anj's dad adore that show, why, I'm not quite sure >_o )
3. Sunday: Got up early, blew off Michael's church service to get all of Saturday and Sunday's stuff done. Bills, dishes, putting away laundry, yelling at the cats, etc... >_< Oh, and got in another practice, but it was not my 1337 guitar day--I sucked rocks through a straw. Dunno why I kept fscking up when it'd been smooth two days before. Went out to look at used Saturn and Subaru wagons, but all the dealerships were closed (never knew they weren't open Sundays...)--but it was a good chance to wander the lots without being molested. Was drizzling tho. :p Spend the remainder of the afternoon watching the DVD of Romeo Must Die that Don had lent us and working on my AI outfit (I have to paint the black ovals to get the space effect). Went to Don's for movie night and he showed the LotR DVD--I never realized how very hooked I'd gotten on that movie. And now I'm dying to see Two Towers *very* much. The preview on the DVD gave me shivers.
And now it's work again--really quiet, and my supervisor's gone. Which is good considering the way the day's gone so far. Strange that I was so cheerful on the drive in, only to go into a major depressive mood swing because of the AI scheduling hassle--not like it's that big of a deal. Can't figure out why I've let myself get so down. Dunno what we're doing tonight--I suppose some sorta dinner out (I never tell them it's my birthday. I hate hate *hate* when waitstaff sings to you in restaurants. Did I mention I *HATE* it? >< ) I guess I'll be trying to work in another guitar practice (and hoping it'll go better), and continuing to paint the foam core board. Only got a few days to finish that. Meh...I gotta remember to call Gina to take care of the cats while we're outta town over the weekend. Dammit, so much insurance stuff I still have to take care of, too. :p
Oh, and heard the bizarrest thing on the radio during the drive in--apparently some guy in Mississippi got high on Ecstacy and fscked a horse. And got videotaped *doing* so. ><;;;;;; E-freaking-gads. But it reminded me of the Blink 182 song "Fscking Dogs" which I will not put the lyrics for here as they're horrid. And they make me laugh my ass off every time I hear the song, but still. Go search for the lyrics and mp3 if you're curious. And yes, someone out there has done an AMV of "Fscking Dogs" using Excel Saga footage--but I seem to recall it was a boring video. I should find another studio's version to dl.
Oh, and Kelly's cat Kuroneko wandered back 7am Saturday morning, so she's most happy. My warmfuzzy for the day.
*wanders off to listen to Blink 182's "What's My Age Again" all day--with brief interludes of "Fscking Dogs" for the hell of it. Horrid song. Bad me for linking it. Bad, bad me. XD Obviously my *emotional* age is like 12. flails, but still listens*

How many different times can I produce blue-black?? *flails* I want dark blue darnit!! *flails* Eh heh...like I said, I'm still working with it. ^^

I'm planning on cosplaying Excel sometime, if that costume of yours turns out great (or it doesn't you could work on it more for a later con) we could do a group sometime. Especially if you wanna enter a karaoke contest. XD I'm training hard to get Excel's speed down, then her voice, then her voice while being speedy.

But I also plan on trying to get someone to help me do an Ilpallazo costume (which would give me an extra reason to carry around my guitar ^^ )--I gotta find some images of him sometime and figure out the details, especially what's hiding under his cloak thing. ^.^
