And of course this is when I realize that my medical insurance lasts through the end of the month. In other words, for only four days. Even once the group administrating the COBRA coverage receives my information from my last job, it will take them two weeks to mail me out the enrollment items. And my last workplace, despite the fact my last day was August **14th**, two weeks ago, still has not sent the group that administrates COBRA the paperwork they have to have before they can send me that enrollment information.
Soooo...how long am I going to be insurance-less before the COBRA will start?? Even though at UNO where I was *terminated* this happened fucking quickly and I had *no* gap in insurance coverage, and even though I left this workplace the *right* way, gave my two weeks notice and everything??
God, I feel sick (ha HA). I did this all the right goddamned way, and now I'm going to end up fucked over for it. Because ex-workplace's bureaucracy obviously fucking fails. BRILLIANT.
Makes me wonder...what if someone's last day was like the 30th and the last day of the month was the 31st? Why would they get fucked over on getting their COBRA started compared to someone whose last day was like the 1st?
