whitereflectionYah, the ear infection pretty much kicked my ass, but I'm basically back on my feet from it. Last Thurs/Fri were the absolute worst in terms of pain and ear/jaw swelling, but by Sunday I'd started to feel human again. Which was good, because I was sleeping on the couch upright (or dozing I guess) for multiple nights since lying down was a bad thing. Anyway, got the sponge thing out of my ear, finished the pill antibiotics, just a few days of the eardrops left. Ear's still prone to plugging up, but I think that'll ease when the drops are done.
Though *funny* how my allergies weren't nearly as omfgawful when I was at home, and kicked up again really good when I came back to work Monday. Funny that. :p Ha ha.
Bit backlogged at work because of the several days gone, compounded by this absolute catastrofuck that happened with our catalog/database software yesterday. Basically it stopped allowing us to create new records, which meant when I imported my file of shelf ready records--blew up. Created floating order numbers with fund codes and prices, but absolutely *no* other record information. Same when I tried to bring in the records the subject specialists wanted orders--kablooey. There's still 84 of these floating order numbers with no info in the system, that even my supervisor and our systems librarian can't delete, that have to be removed by the software company, before I can place those orders or bring in that shelf ready shipment. Yeeeeeeeey. Guess I can focus on some other things and let those sit, yes? ~_~ Lovely.
Guild stuff is sort of weird atm--did get promoted to the raid coordinator rank, which is sort of class lead-ish (though it's still not that I'm good, but the lesser of evils or perhaps emos, I think). Had spikes of minor drama when Mr.Asshole totally went off on Mr.Emo on our forums, then last night with a bad raid night followed by a new member quitting in a fit of temper. Hoping things are more calm--and thus fun--this evening. Also, a bunch of the local Omaha/CB area crowd are talking about getting together for food/drinks, and that sounds awesome as hell, hope it goes off soonlike.
Sorta stopped checking in on the playthedamnedcard community. Mainly because of being sick, but sort of burned out on how negative and hypercritical some of those people can be to each other--which is odd for a community that is sort of the crack/humor side of the fandom. And also odd for a fandom about a show that involves people in life or death duels using...a children's card game. Yeah. It's probably the most demanding of perfection and following of *their* viewpoints that I've seen out of any fandom in the decade I've been part of such online. And I'm still not caught up on 5D's. Maybe I'll regain interest when I'm not feeling tired of the fansniping.
