whitereflectionLULZ #1. So I have developed a throat infection. Uvulitis. YES. An inflammation of the uvula and the throat around it. NEAT. Wacky. (Can you hear the WTF in all that? An inflamed uvula, now I've heard everything.) Antibiotics, ho.
LULZ #2. I can't go back to my doctor anymore. Since her office move to her own space, she's been burning scented candles. They trigger my allergies and asthma, bother me quite a lot. Today, it was two candles, one of them fucking Yankee (the fragrance just kills me). After dealing with the throat infection issue, I plead my case, that her burning candles bothers me a lot, and that today in particular it was very bad--my chest was tight, I started coughing, my eyes and sinuses were burning, even was lightheaded.
And my doctor...she said no, she wouldn't stop burning them. She said she'd blow them out while I was there, but that she would burn them the rest of the time. Even though the fragrance would still be in the air, in all the soft fabrics like upholstery and carpeting. Even though it was making me sick to be there for even just a few minutes.
When I left, I had one of the worst asthma triggers since the Lysol at work incident. Like full-body-spasm coughing *while I was fucking driving*, a goddamn choking sort of cough. I thought it was getting to the point I couldn't inhale (the right side of my lungs still ache). Calmed down after a few minutes after using the proventil/albuterol inhaler, but holy goddamn fuck.
I'm not going back to Dr. Saxena, ever. I've called Midwest Allergy & Asthma, and will be switching my shots to them (they're where my allergist is, and where the injection extracts come from anyway), starting when my next is due. I guess all that's left is to find a new primary care physician/obgyn.
But in the meantime, I am *angry*. I am so angry that a fucking DOCTOR would listen to someone saying that 'this in your office is making me sick, is triggering my asthma' which you know, only affects fucking *breathing*...and then say, 'no, I will not stop doing that in my office'. What fucking doctor burns scented candles, anyway?? I have *never* been in a medical office of any sort where that is done. How fucking stupid and unprofessional. Hippo-fucking-cratic oath, much?
