walking together into a new light

And time slips by, guh. >_< Where does it go? The break from work is almost over--I go back the day after tomorrow. Since Christmas, had a dinner for the local family cooked by Mom over at my brother's place, did a trip to the zoo, had Anj/Gina/Kelly over for a dinner (in which I cooked two soups and fed them a ton of foods), did an extended bad movie night over at Don's, and hung out/did errands with Mom including many grocery shopping trips. Today I slacked :|

Am strangely satisfied with getting various WoW things done, like consortium rep, Shattar rep, nabbing several jc designs, and even doing some alt levelling (yay for my hunter and Druid. Ohia lives again). Didn't do so well at getting other stuff done--still have yet to do cards, and didn't get the two books I planned to read done. Need to try to get cards done tomorrow when I do bills (and I keep telling myself I *have* to do those...so just want to suck up every drop of my remaining slack time).

And Mom flies back very early on the 3rd, and it's bumming me out quite a bit already. I can't describe how *comfortable* it is having her around here. Even if it wasn't having her living here, even just in the same city again would be wonderful. Even my Dad has all but told me to keep nudging her to move back, and yeah, I'm definitely hoping the same. We'll have to see what happens, I guess. I really wonder if she won't, since she's been really happy to have the family contact again (despite the at-times arctic weather--wonder how she'd hold up in summer...)

Happy 2008D all. I swear, I don't care what sort of mood I'm in, I'm going to write/type 2008D like that every damned time. It just has to be.
