whitereflectionSo the latest renovation fun--they're applying a sealer/leveller compound to the cement foundation on the first floor, and goddang, but we haven't had chemical fumes this bad since they did the varnishing for the expansion. Was so bad yesterday they actually made the crews stop and not continue until past operating hours, something they've never done with any of the other chemical crap. Whole lot of people went home on vacation or ill, and I guess there were a lot of patron complaints.
Still stinks this morning because of the work last night, but not as bad. One of the things they're doing to help though, is open all the doors and use fans to pull air out of the building. Of course, I forget that the first floor desk is right next to the garden doors and that my desk hour is today--so I'm kinda chilly atm, with no jacket or long-sleeve shirt or anything. :/
Anyway. Definitely been cranky this past week, including game-wise. Really been pissy about a lot of things, well more so than I should be. But someone pressed a button last night and this morning, basically in gchat and on our forums saying "oh hey warlocks, why do you suck in comparison with warlock A"--when the guy is wonderfully geared. So I'm pissed because it's not a fair comparison--sort of apples and oranges--I'm pissed because they don't call out any other classes as to why they're not as good as their top person, and I'm pissed because it lumped me who's trying together with that recruit lock who sucks and is a MORON. So, yeah.
Sort of wish I could take vac time the rest of the day like many others--but I used some sck time yesterday afternoon since the fumes left me queasy as heck (promptly wasted the time sleeping the entire afternoon). Just behind on things, office is pretty much full of stacks of books needing cataloging. And I've got to leave early tomorrow as is for the furnace/ac guy.
Huh. Suppose if I would have been smart, even lacking jacket or such I should have brought down a mug of tea or something.
