whitereflectionWoooo. So, Karazhan. I actually got to participate more than I'd expected last night; however, it was a really not-so-good run, with much weirdness (surprisingly, not anything that was my fault, either). First boss outright bugged (Attumen), but required that we spend an hour on it to discover such. Got to see the second boss once (Moroes), but had to sit out the successful attempt so they could bring in a third tank, which is their usual method. Several times regulars who're experienced at the instance made targeting errors, giving us some fun with many adds. Then tried the opera event, but it was the hardest of the three options (Dorothee & crew), and we only had time for one try. That particular one is going to be a challenge for me to learn--involves spamming the spell searing pain on one mob and fearing another.
More tonight; not sure again if I'll get to go, or just have to wait outside, but I think it's highly likely I'll get to. Should be more opera tries, though I'm sure people are hoping for one of the other options (it selects randomly, I guess). Also sounds like maybe Maiden of Virtue and Curator. I guess normally they'd have at least 4 bosses down in one night, but yeah, really bad luck that run. Also saw as I expected--aoe trash fights have a 75% or worse mortality rate for us aoe-ing types. :p Anyway, least I got the beginning rep ring for the instance, which because my gear sucks is an upgrade--and will only get better. Yay.
In the meantime, James' guild started Black Temple a couple nights ago. .... Yeah. Fabulously jealous, I can't express how much. I know that I wouldn't be that far even if I was still back in LC, but still. It is a trade-off--sure, he's seen all of Gruul, Magtheridon, Serpent Shrine, the Tempest Keep 25man (Eye something?), Hyjal, and now BT, but he's had to all but sign his life away for it. He's on all the freaking time, from the moment he gets home from work until he sleeps (which is much less than even me), even when there's shit he should be doing. Real life comes second. That guild tells you your talent spec, your professions, and you have to be damned perfect or you're out.
But I'm still jealous as hell. There's so much I'm sure I'll never get to see--or will be like Naxx where all I get is a peek in the front door. And that just gnaws on me, because I love this damned game, and have been part of it from the very beginning, far longer than him and a lot of people. Eh. Meanwhile, despite success on High King, I haven't heard that we're going back for more of that, or for progressing further into Gruul's Lair. I know the focus is on 'get the new people Kara-geared', but I know how easily that can stall progress.
So keyed up after things wrapped up last night, it took forever to wind down for bed. And even then, I slept for crap, so shallowly. Think I managed a few hours solid sleep. Small chai tea latte (hot drink is so wrong in summer, but allergies're being a pisser, too) helps only some. Gonna be a long day. >_

And missed yours >_< I've been intending to send individual comments to everyone no matter what, but yay procrastination I haven't yet :/
But truly, I really appreciate it! It's terribly cute--if not sad that I've been being ma'amed since my early 20s. My parents both looked young for their ages for decades, but I think maybe I'm the reverse. >_>;
