the ravening hordes

So a few days worth of summing up: was in a fairly wretched mood Monday, especially earlyish. I blame hormones, and being of overly sensitive ego. But was doing better by that evening. As for the fic, it's gotten a few comments, yay. Coyo recced it on her LJ, which made me feel wonderful. And the person who gave the prompt gave *long* comments on both parts, which made me feel awesome as hell. (Speaking of which, I should respond to those, whoops).
Usual routine at the dentist yesterday, quick cleaning, patted myself on the back for being nearly 34 with no cavities ever (which I find myself a touch smug at, considering the usual him just had to have a root canal and a crown for a broken tooth). The rest of my body may be crap, but I've got good teeth and hair.
Still the same at work as the construction goes. They say this phase is very close to being done, about to have cement poured. Within a week, maybe? Which would be awesome, because while the temps have been okay lately, the air quality has been *shit*. Dust, diesel, exhaust fumes, etc. Really bad for us allergic/asthmatic sorts.
Was decent weather out, so I took the afternoon off so I could go just *walk* and breathe easy--considering Omaha's air isn't swell, but is a ton better than in the Library at the moment, that says something. Really pricey lunch at a little yuppie cafe downtown--expensive like crazy, but decent, then wandered the zoo. I'm so used to going to the zoo on the off-season, that I forget what it's like mid-summer. Total madhouse, crowds like you wouldn't believe. Skipped my usual favorite exhibits, mostly just wandered the outside paths. But walking out in nice-to-breathe-in air was accomplished.
Now I slack, where slack equals doing the dishes the usual him spaced off yet again, and doing laundry. May WoW some, which I really haven't been doing almost at all lately--was so distracted with the fic, and my enthusiasm's been off on it. Oh yeah, and those comments, should go do those.
