Extra-big coffee morning

Title sounds like a name for a Japanese pop band. I should print it out on a t-shirt.
Anyway, yes, massively sleep deprived. Went from the long weekend where I let myself fall so easily into a stay up extremely late/sleep in pattern, to forcing myself back to a normal wake-up time yesterday. Ugly. But then last night when I'm already needing to catch up badly, and am only getting four hours anyway, I keep waking up and having odd (yes WoW) dreams. Basically we had the winter storms move through yesterday, and the wind was absolutely ugly-sounding--was so loud and unpleasant sounding it woke me constantly. Still's cold and really gusting today. But it required much coffee--yesterday Starbuck's, today Scooters. And today, when the gal asked if I wanted a large, I couldn't resist. Who cares if it's twice as big as I usually get? >.> Raspberry mocha ftw. (And damned dreams. Not so much the screwing up type, but the dying and not being in control of my character type, where I kept encountering bosses that were porting me into MC and a not-like-it-really-is BWL. The usual odd.)
Ooh, raspberry reminds me. Happy hippy hoppy heppy hoopy haeppy birthday to Katkatkat~<3 I said so this am already, in my own incoherent just-woken-up way, but wanted to say here, too. *squooshhugs* Too bad I can't draw anything to do as a gifty.

Anyway, the past week. Gameage has been good to meh. After getting that epic head armor last Monday-or-Tuesday-I-forget, Wednesday in MC I scored an epic dagger, the Gutgore Ripper, which oh I have so wanted~<3 It looks neat, but is going to get a graphical redesign come next patch (which might show up today, or at least next Tuesday)--at which point it is going to look *sweeeeeetwicked*. Yays. I wonder if it will keep the faint-shadowy pulsing black glow around it. Wouldn't mind that.
Also finally switched skinning for herbalism, and raised that to 300 as of last night. So now i r leet flower picker. Already it's made me a bunch of gold o_O so maybe an epic mount is possible after all. And it's doubly nice in getting me mats for potions I need, rather than having me spend tons to buy them. W00t, I say.
One other odd thing--I finally finally got a chance Saturday to see the second half of MC again. And got to go on my very very first trip to Ragnaros. OMG he's freaking huge. Massive. The battle is ugly. But... >.> There...was a bug. The battle usually involves alternating fighting him, then waves of mobs called Sons of Flame. But on our second/third attempt...the Sons didn't spawn. ._.! The second attempt we wiped anyway, but the third attempt...we killed Ragnaros. ._.!! Ragnaros, the ultimate boss of MC. Yet, we can't brag or feel real success, because it was a bugged encounter. But there was nice loot nonetheless, and it was hilarious and fun, anyway. A strange sort of morale booster. How amusing that the one time they hit the bug was one of the rare times I'm around to see it. Heh. Now the group's aim is to kill him for reals.
Anyway, game aside, Thanksgiving was good. The usual trip to Pat and Greg's place, the usual watching of movies and eating of tons of food. Not too bad this time--and the movies were Real Genius, Napoleon Dynamite, and Billy Jack. Would have done Army of Darkness, but Greg's tape finally just wore out. Napoleon Dyamite is obviously not for everyone, but I found it really amusing and charming in an uncomfortably cute sort of way. >D Pedro is my hero. Btw, it was extremely ironic that we watched Real Genius and Napoleon Dyamite back to back, as we realized and confirmed that the actor who played Uncle Rico in ND is the same person who played Lazlo Hollyfeld in RG. No lie. Btw, I can tell my corruption is complete--was watching RG, such a classic classic classic film...and realized partway through, 'egads, Chris Knight and Mitch Taylor are so freaking slashable O_o' Amusingly-psycho girl romantic interest aside, the two main characters had such a vibe, I swear. And so pretty in an 80s way. >_>;;

Other than that, not much. Don's game Sunday, did dinner out with a bunch of folks as a belated birthday get together for Pat, James, and Leslie.
Bah, okay, just two more game things. Another phrase I want to put on a t-shirt comes from this one guy's encounters with one of the Chinese gold farmers camping in Tyr's Hand. Gold farmers are a pain in the ass, and I hate the whole concept of hoarding game money and items for sale on the web and eBay. But there's this guy that I absolutely detested, back in the UGA--he was and is a major asshole. So I found it extra amusing to hear about him messing with one of the gold farmers, and having the farmer eventually yell at him 'U IS PIG'. XD Yay, Engrish. But whenever that phrase comes up in-game, doesn't matter how much I hate gold farmers or that one guy--I absolutely crack up.
Other game thing--Finally! got into the Alterac Valley battleground. And oh my god. It's 40 people each side, so 80 total. It's HUGE. The map is just massive, and actually has quests and PVE mobs and herb gathering/mining/etc in the battleground, as well as the PVP battle. And man, the battle...it can go for *hours*. This is no WSG where you wait hours and get in for 10 minutes. You may wait hours, AV is almost never up, but once you're in it lasts forever--I've heard of 11 hour AV sessions before. And the battle just goes and goes and goes, this massive zerg that surges up and down the map, until finally one side gets the advantage and advances all the way down to take the opposite faction base.
Alliance won that night, woo, and just in that one session alone, despite dying a ton and wandering off for other things with guildmates, I ended up with 659 honor kills, and who knows how much contribution points. O_o Ginormous amounts of bonus honor. I can't wait to see what rank I'm up to with all that. And it brought my lifetime HKs up to about 850, which is like wow, for how little PVP I've done. So how funky. I'll have to keep up rank with some AB sessions when I can fit in the time, but man, AV is where it's at. (Too bad I still have to spend so much time finding FR gear -__- Be a long while yet until I can get back to alt-ing or spend much time in BGs).

Bah, so long. >_<;; I should quit summarizing a week at once. But to wrap up, a parody summary of the latest Harry Potter movie, which cracked me up muchly: http://www.livejournal.com/users/mistful/77613.html#cutid1 Heh, absolute wackiness.
And a great quote from Aqua Teen Hunger Force that my brother was using as his email sig: (Meatwad) "Um, I have a two point question. One, what's he doing now? Two, should we light him on fire?" Ahaha, good times.
(Bah, one last last thing: I love this icon. Loooves~ it. Was so hoping to find a winter-themed one of Roy like that. Perfect~<3 Have my winter Ed and winter Roy, now to find a winter one of them together, hoo hoo. *dork*)
