whitereflectionIt was so tempting after getting home Saturday night to do a post of nothing but the words "Blue October" over and over and over. The concert was *brilliant* Absolutely awesome and wonderful, and anytime they come into town I will see them I *swear* it.
Was so nice that it was such a good show, since the Bright Eyes concert a few months back was kind of a letdown--and while the Offspring show at Blizzcon was good, they are a band I like, not a huge favorite. But man...*Blue October* *flails* The wait in line for that hour and twenty minutes beforehand--in the drizzle and wind and no I didn't have my jacket >_> --was a pain, but it was so very worth it. I was up near the front of the crowd and they played almost all of my favorites. There were only a couple songs I didn't recognize.
One other thing that impressed me, was how the lead singer kept thanking the audience over and over. He was so sincerely greatful and they all seemed to be so blasted happy to be performing--I can't express how cool that is, to have performers that are feeling that much joy for what they do, who are putting their all into it. And who actually *appreciate* their fans and don't get full of themselves or put on half-assed stoned-out concerts.
Heh, I still do wish they'd have included For My Brother or Breakfast After 10. But they did The Answers T___________T! *flaily* And Come in Closer, Ugly Side, Inner Glow, Quiet Mind, Chameleon Boy, Clumsy Card House, HRSA, Conversations Via Radio, Razorblade, Italian Radio, Drop, Calling You, and others which I'm forgetting. I should've written it all down when I got home. Wanted to get one of the playlists from the stage, but other folks caught those.
Couldn't find where they were selling things, so maybe I'll see if they have concert tshirts on their website. Would really love a shirt. Sounds like they'll have a new CD out next spring, and might be back in town around then. So can't wait...that would rock muchly~
