Oct. 14th, 2005 08:42 amSo I took a half-day of vacation yesterday, yet what did I end up doing...? Had a late lunch and wasted the afternoon by falling asleep for hours. >_> At least I got around to buying We Love Katamari on the way home. But man, what a way to spend hard-earned vac time. -__- (And sleeping so much in the afternoon totally blew my sleep schedule--wasn't able to make myself lie down until 4am, so have had 1.5hrs sleep. Or is that a second nap? >_< )
Did have a very nice, fun, and productive WoW session once I eventually got signed in. Got to hang out with Aaron's druid alt, and we finished my toon out on Duskwood quests (well, except for one minor one that leads to stuff in another area). But sad...I luff Duskwood and now I have to wander elsewhere. But we still need to kill Stitches. We owe him. >_> The big happy, tho, is that Nin is now lvl 30 (halfway to 31)--and oh, so can't wait for 35 and 40. And 60. Those will be my big milestones.
Normally he's not the cook type, but James made up a salsa from fresh vegetables that's pretty impressive. I want to add some black beans to it, but really it's rather awesome. I recall trying to make a salsa a few years back and it was nasty. This I'd say is definitely better than jar stuff. But man, he bought kinda ick chips to go with.
Anj's back at work, and so am getting to hear more about her trip. And was brought an amusing little postcard--from the Museum of Communism in Prague ("above Mc Donald's, next to Casino" somehow that says it all). It's a graphic of a typical Russian matrioshka nesting doll--but painted on it is a scowling growling pointed-toothy face complete with big ol' fangs. It amuses the hell outta me. Am gonna see if I can take a digital pic of it for Mom--since I don't have a scanner--and will post a link if I do. Too fun.
