distractions ftw!

whitereflectionIt is truly glorious out there today. The perfect sort of gold and blue to the sun and the sky, but with a veil of low fog, sometimes thick. Temp's about 55, perfect for rolling down the window and feeling the chilliness of the wind while driving--because me being me, I won't dig out my jacket for ages. And it just smells damply, cooly green, and man, I wish I wasn't at work. This is an outside day. I'd end up playing hooky, but there's no one to do that with (Anj's already got places she has to be today), and it's just not the same alone. Though there is a new exhibit that's finally opened at the zoo, with weather like this, it would be spectacular to go see... Dunno, a half day or 3/4 day does tempt.
Strange sort of restless energy on the drive in, not sure if it'll last. But just about any music I was hearing was making me want to dance so much I could feel my muscles twitching beneath my skin, even on songs I don't like all that much.
Played my mage alt some last night. Sloppily. I suck such rocks as mage, I mean truly so. But need to get her to 35, as I've maxed out her tailoring/enchanting skills and can't raise them more until that level. And our guild desperately needs more people to do the cloth conversions and whatnot at upper crafting levels, so. Anyway. Ony tonight, and the guild's hoping to do a full Dire Maul run Sunday (East, West, and North), which should be rather keen. Still need to figure out what to do with my priest alt--part of me wants to ditch the character, maybe recreate on the horde side. But I mean, priest. I don't do healy well. So maybe I should just have the druid and not a priest at all--but I really want to have a shadow priest so I can melt faces. :x Dunno.
In seeking out a certain Bittorrent last night, I *finally* stumbled on a good MacOSX Bittorrent program, and it is sparkly. <3 So nice to have one that works again, it's been forever. Though that could be dangerous, having torrent capability again. >.> Hum.
Oh, and, man, I have got to find some Thousand Foot Krutch music. Really want Phenomenon, and have been liking the one I'm hearing on the radio. Move, I think it is. Ohshztyeah, I almost forgot o_o They're coming to Omaha Oct. 4, need to figure out if I want to go to the concert or not. It's terribly tempting...
Ohandx2, I need to bribe someone to do RoyEd fanart for me...have this odd mental image of them in modern day type clothing, with Starbucks drinks >D*amusesself* I can see Roy with a latte, mocha, or macchiato, but Ed, I could see him with some blended frappucino thing with a poof of whipped cream on top (it's not got milk in it, really). >D*reallyamusesselfwaytoomuch*
Ohandx3, we're finally getting back to windows-not-AC weather, but holy nuts, it's kicking my allergies in the ass but hard. >< Oh teh sneezings yayz. Sinus'd! *guck* >p
Watched FF: Last Order this morning, and that was really neat. I hadn't expected regular style animation, but it was cool--the characters were *OMGPRETTY*<3 Especially Zack. Zach. However that's spelled. All I can say is ZACK=SEX. YES. Seriously, I honestly don't think Sephiroth looks as neat as Zack and Cloud in this (or in the CGI animation, but then I have to alter that to Zack, Cloud, and Vincent). And man, someone can draw/color eyes that just make me turn into goo. Anyway, short like I expected, not bad background music, neat fights (OMGZACK), a decent little summary. Just wish it were a touch longer, to go beyond the abrupt ending. Wish maybe that they'd shown more of the captivity/basement stuff, and what happened to Cloud between Zack getting taken out and start of the game. Just would have been a bit more of a seamless transition that way, to me. But still, I liked it, was fun. And still can't wait to show the movie and this to the others Saturday. *gleeeee~* Can't wait.

Date: 2005-09-16 02:50 pm (UTC)I wasn't over impressed with Last Order :< Zack had a couple of cool scenes, but it felt like they were using it as a little excuse to show off their new Turks for their games. Sephiroth was flat and had no cool vibes at all, there was no sense of the dread I felt when I did all of that in the game.. Hojo was nowhere near slimey enough.. and yah, I was annoyed that they spent no time on the lab testing..
But Tseng was hot.. >.> And even if he has Suwabe disease I'd do him >.>; XD
Still Before Crisis and Crisis Core should be filling in the gaps >.> (Yay thank you Squeenix for encouraging us to spend money ¬_¬!!)

They just showed 'em, gave 'em a few lines, and they didn't do nothin'. I was amused at Hojo though--I suppose he could've been slimier, but his voice was just what I'd expected >D Reminded me of Nii from Saiyuki.

Before Crisis and Crisis Core = games right? I'm assuming AC and LO are the last of the movie/anime stuff...
