Andrew, you won't wanna read this, just to forewarn ya. Feel free to skip.

Ok. So. There is just no way for me to describe how damned fucking much I loved FF:AC. I mean seriously. There are just no words. The usual "SQUEE" and "SHRIEK" don't come anywhere close. Not at all. I seriously, seriously, adored it. I cannot wait to show it to the others Saturday. So can't wait to see it again. Will have to not react like I did this first viewing--because this time I had the luxury of being alone. I could flail (and yes, flail wildly, bouncing on my computer chair). I could yell at the screen (oh, gotta love those 'shitshitshitshit!' moments). I could bawl my eyes out multiple times--especially at the end when I about set off my asthma blubbering so damned hard. And I could cheer.

God that was beautiful. Goddamn I love those characters. And those fights--ohman, such beautiful fights. So very Japanese. You want physics? Don't freaking look here. It's not Final Physics. It's Final Fantasy, and it's fucking gorgeous that way. Loved how this capped off the storyline for the game. Love how it finished out development (yanno, mental/emotional/psychological and all that) for certain characters. Hot dang, it really made me like Rufus and the Turks (though I did like the Turks already, just had disliked Rufus muchly). And ohman, all my favorite original characters...oh*Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah*.

And the music--holy christ onna pogo stick, someone *PLEASE* I need that soundtrack. Need the damned thing on DVD (especially a subbed DVD of course, this playing with files thing is wonky ^^; )--but I *really* need that soundtrack. Nobuo, you are such a deity.

Goddang...that was...wow. I'm all buzzing and washed out at the same time. Holy cats on a flying pogo stick, that was just so beautiful. Certain scenes at the end...omg, definite symbolism. And I *liked* it.

Maybe it's not everyone's cuppa tea. But for me, it was perfect. Finally. Fantastic.

...I *SO* fucking need icons. And wallpapers. Uwaugh. *flops*

I got to dl it from a buddy's Streamload hosted folder, but I searched out this link for Ekat:

http://torrentspy.com/search.asp?mode=torrentdetails&id=405824&query=final+fantasy+vii+%22
The torrent includes subtitle files, and the procedure for overlaying those varies depending on the player used. I used VLC, since I'm on a Mac.

http://www.livejournal.com/users/djranmas/442875.html (srt file)
http://www.livejournal.com/users/paulioshi/227528.html (ssa file)
Also, the subtitle files that came with the .avi file didn't work or weren't English, so I found separate subtitle overlay files. The top is the one that worked for me--but a buddy of mine who uses a PC used the ssa file. So it's a matter of testing subtitle files until you find one that displays, I think.

I'm hoping all these still work for ya--I think they should, but lemme know if not, I can try to figure something out.
