Seasons of...

whitereflectionMultiple wrongs making a groggy not-right: I should know better than to stay up too late on weekends. And should know better than to eat much in the way of sugar products when folks are over Saturday evening, as that often leads to staying up too late (like say, 5am). Because that means come Sunday night, I really just don't feel like sleeping, and consequently end up until about 3 and get only 2 1/2 hours sleep. Yeeha. I also should know better than to start reading after signing out of the game, because invariably I'm doing the 3/5am thing and not stopping 'til I'm just dead. Damned reading addict.
Anyway. Watched some Witch Hunter Robin Sat. evening with the others, and found I really liked that. The fic for it, I have found, sucks rocks (see the whole reading bit above). I'll have to do some more searching, but I think finding good fanworks for it might be like trying to find good fanworks for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (i.e. does not exist). Speaking of which--we finished GitS:SAC recently, and OMGLOVED it. LOVED. <3<3<3 I so am buying that series. I want a box set, but will just buy all the individual DVDs if I have to. Last few episodes were especially amazing.
Tomorrow is the 1.7 patch day in WoW, and everyone is already bracing themselves. Need to download UI mod updates tonight and tomorrow am to be ready. I hope James decides if he's selling me his PC or not soon--the more they patch this game, the more my processor is affected. There will be an expansion by the end of the year, I'm guessing, and that will really choke my machine. Must upgrade, somehow. Going to 2 computers isn't my favorite option, but the G4 (which now I'm recalling I named Roy Mustang, and this amuses me...though my hard drive icon I named Sasuke, goddamn I'm a dork) is fine for email/web/audio-visual stuff/music. The only thing it's outdated for is this game. So I'll have a game machine, and an everything else machine. So much for having an actual writing desk in that corner >_>;
That is, if he does sell me the computer. Which I'm 99% sure he will. He's really blah on all MMORPG gaming right now, and can do Diablo/Diablo 2 on his Mac. But if he doesn't, not sure what I'll do--I can't afford a G5 of the quality I'll need. Unless I go into 'debt' on my personal $ that comes each month, and just know I won't have anything until somewhere next year. Could do that I suppose. I won't have a con to save up for. Just would make saving to fly to visit people more difficult, and have to be put off a bit more. Ha, the way I'm always saving up for big ticket items, I'm never gonna end up getting a scanner--that's always getting shoved back in the queue. Especially since I have a feeling new iPod is going to factor into things this next year.
Been chilling a bit in the game--because of signing up for raids late, I missed out on MC, and only did the Onyxia run. But that was kind of nice, as I could help guildmates a little. Most fun though, was working on my new dwarf hunter alt. I *heart* my dorf hunter. Haven't had much chance to work with his new pet (just got the taming skill), but I can be a *fiend* with the different gun shots. He's a blast (hahaha), and now I'm finding it hard to play anything but him. Though a billion things to do with Sas, and one of my guildmates got a horde guild going for us, so I should work on my alts for that, too (need to sign up my warlock there, and recreate my troll warrior and sign her up too). I just want to do it all, you know?
What else, what else. Still really worried about Crystal-cat. She's so damned thin, and we do everything we can to offer her as much food as she wants. She gets food 3 times a day instead of the others' 2--and gets her choice of the prescription wet food or the dry stuff, and she'll eat both. Just so thin, and really slowing down. I need to get her back to the vet's for weighing and T4/thyroid test. Damned bloodwork's pricey, and doing it over and over... Gets me though, just to feel her when I pick her up--a cat shouldn't feel sharp when you pet them.
Didn't get the guild vault list updated again today, guess I'll do it tomorrow. Just too tired and emoish...same reason for not getting much work done, I think. And I think my brain has firmly decided it's time for fall, and is refusing to acknowledge that it's not time yet, not for another couple weeks at least. I want fall so very badly, am just so *ready* for it. Like I'm about a month out of sync.
Need new icons. Really want some Roy or RoyEd type FMA ones, just need to make time to peruse what's out there. Also want some WoW ones, but I don't think any of my screenshots have good bits to trim from them. Another time thing that I'll get to someday.
[Ohyes, and I have got *the* download. Yes. *The* download. Hawke is truly a goddess, she is. <3 Now I just have to make time in the next few days to watch, because OMG I have so so so so been wanting to see this. Guh...I just think the words 'Advent Children' and my inner-Homer is gurgling/gibbering like it's the ultimate beer-soaked donut. Can't wait to spring this on the others Saturday.
Also, my complexion has descended to another circle of hell. Obviously punishment for overindulgence in caffeine/coffee and the like these last couple weeks. I give up on saying 'it's like I was 13', because it wasn't this bad back then I don't think. Stupid food and stress and pollen sensitivities. Bah, I say.]
