Tomorrow comes today

whitereflectionThis weekend my brother went on a tandem skydiving jump. He sent pictures. o_o *isliekwoah* (I wonder if I could ever go on one, because man, it's like *flying*...)
Am exhausted but that's like ok. *heh* Usual reasons why. UGA trip to Onyxia Friday, and took us three (or was it four?) attempts, but we eventually got things to work and got her down. Saturday had much fun levelling my mage alt (finally to 20, actually 21, w00t)--had the usual folks over in the evening, had a DQ Blizzard cake way too late, ended up back online and playing until like 5am. But that was ok as I rather like using that as an excuse to not go to church (and maybe he'll eventually get used to me not going so maybe eventually I won't have to make excuses...but I will probably still play that late at times. >_> Yay weekends.)
Sunday was more minor levelling of the alt, some assisting a guildmate farming for mats he needed (and wandered up into an area in development, the Grim Batol, and damn but that looks sweet)--and was the second UGA MC trip of the weekend. Sat. they had gotten Luci and Magmadar again, yesterday we got Gehennas (yay, finally got to see that happen), Garr, and Baron Geddon (w00t! First time!). And Gehennas gave me a gloves from the epic Nightslayer armor set. :3 :3 :D http://dibutt.rasuberrypie.org/filesofdoom/gloves.jpg I'm really hoping to get more Nightslayer stuff--dandy stats/bonuses and looks like it'd be pretty wicked-neat in appearance. A character would look dangerous in that stuff. >3
Soyeah, was up rather late--because after that, for the hell of it we decided to check out the next boss, Shazz...something-or-other. >_>; (aha, Shazzrah). d00d's gonna be cake--with only 22 people (since everyone else left since it was late) and with never having tried him before, we had that boss down to 85% health. There was actually thought that we could get him ourselves on another try as we'd figured out the strategy quick, but then some pain in the ass mob stuff started to repop and we had to quit. But man, doing that last bit was such *fun*. Nice to have something we were goofing around with, and yet it made us progress. Sounds like we may actually be doing a mid-week return to MC to work on Shazz and maybe try some of the other bosses beyond him. I actually think it won't be long before we have all of MC licked, and damn but that would be an accomplishment. ..then we could finally try out Blackwing Lair >3
Oh, and one nice thing... After rolling and winning those gloves, it was a strange sense of gratification to get not only the usual congrats messages, but private ones where I was being told things such as "you're the most deserving rogue here" and some really awesome complimentary stuff. I mean..neat. Had me all smiley, because c'mon, I get so down on myself about everything including being a n00b player, it's nice to see that the other UGAers value my contributions.
Lastly...Gorillaz obsessing-fangeeking is still at a major peak-high. *glee* Am still bonking myself for not having listened to more of their stuff than radio play eons ago--how could I have never heard Tomorrow Comes Today or Rock It? I mean, honestly. And I love the image I found on the web--can't use it for LJ as it's 150x150, but am using it on the LJ boards. And trimmed the bit with 2D (in that awesome hat, I want one :D ) for an AIM buddy icon. *geekgeekdork* Ahfun... Date: 2005-08-01 04:41 pm (UTC)I wanna see those pictures! :D I've always wanted to skydiving.. I'm just incredibly scared of heights. ^_^ I almost threw up when I got on the swinging-harness thing at Kings Dominion. I think I'd pass out for a few moments if I went skydiving. :3

Date: 2005-08-01 05:10 pm (UTC)Pics were taken by someone else, am not sure if it was a friend of my brother's also jumping, or if one of the professionals he was with did that (could be, considering how much he had to pay, they should at least get photos ^^; ) I'll pick some out to show ya--lot of 'em are pretty similar. Dave harnessed to an instructor, spread-eagled out in the jump position, with his hair going back *whoosh*.
Man, even just the swinging harness thing would be cool...I'd love to do something like that.
