No, I'm not crossing over. I already use both--Mac at home and PC at work. My personal preference is and always will be for Macs, with using any according to necessity.

*If* James sells me his machine, and that's still an if, I'd just be using both at home as well. Basically, buying a brand new G5 is out of my price range. Buying a used G5 with the sort of videocard I want would require a lot of saving still.

Buying his machine, that already has a near top of the line video card, would be achievable because it'd not only be used, but he'd give me a price break. Also it would make him feel like he didn't waste his time and money getting it for himself originally--and would save on the Ebay and shipping hassle and risks. If I do get it, it would only stay a gaming machine, to keep it from contacting viruses, worms, and the like.

Btw, hate to say, another thing that would probably dissuade you from BlizzCon--in addition to airfare, hotel costs, and food/merchandise costs...that ticket fee. I'm only shouldering that sort of cost because I know it won't be this big again, and I'm getting less and less into other sorts of conventions like anime.

Also btw, I know AX did the same thing about Disney. I think all the cons held in the Anaheim convention center do that. They probably have contracts with each other and give each other financial kickbacks for doing so.

maybe you need something new to grab you attention and take you for a ride
Probably not. That's not usually how it works for me. Things just eventually swing back, sometimes to the other extreme, on their own.

Anyway, thx. It's just the usual.
