Um. Well, I'm alive. That's news, I suppose. I can never remember to pay attention to this thing. >_< But I'm still here, yeah.

Lessee, changes...um, not hugely many. We're more unpacked now, have a bit more furniture. Work's still the same. I goofed off a bunch today. My work ethic just sucks. *sigh* Um, wrote a tiny bit of a Hisoka/Tsuzuki thing last week, but I haven't been able to do a thing with it since then.

Art-wise...haven't done much with that lately, but I am trying to work on an acrylic paint piece. A coffee table got broken, so I took the legs off and was gonna use the top as a worksurface, but now I just wanna paint it like a canvas. I'm gesso-ing it (an acrylic primer), and that's taking forever, as each layer has to dry 24hrs, and it needs a lot of layers. We'll see what happens with it.

Eh...work is closing, so I should scoot. Quote on a sticker I bought at Hot Topic: "I poke badgers with spoons." ...or something to that effect. *smirk*

Yay Shini!

You could always paint the table like we did with our kitchen table. we painted it green, and it came out this weird green-black mixture that looks pretty damn cool, actually. Too bad we don't know why it did it.

Actually, I'm going to paint it like an artwork piece paint it. So I need the white gesso thick enough that the wood doesn't show through. (I don't do realism well, but I'm decent at abstract. Sometime I'll have to harass you with scans of my oil pastel stuff. ^^ )

Oh oh! Paint it all white! Then, and then, get a little rubber ball, using gloves dip the ball in a bucket of black paint, then bounce it on the white table to make it look dalmationy!

lol... ^^ Well, the gesso is white, which is why it needs many layers for the wood to not show through. But I'm gonna do something scarily colorful and abstract with it. (similar to the stuff I've done with oil pastels...I'll have to show ya sometime...)

Yes, I wish to put in a request for a picture of the finished product if possible. You have corrupted my mind with coffee table thoughts.

^^ I'll definitely get a pic of it, though it could be a while before it's done. I should get my brother to send me a pic of the "coffee table" he did--he made a small table-shaped mold and filled it with epoxy adhesive and coffee beans, then removed the cardboard mold...voila! *grins*
