I have to admit, Kouri and Karasu (not to mention Kira and Shell) are really cementing my addiction to TB/X's Seishirou. (I am learning that when one starts to get a fetish for a character, it won't ever go away, even if you ignore it for years and years and years--Sakurazukamoris are like that, you know. *snerk*) I just...dig *drools*...him when he's snarky. And I just adore the Tree when it's given an attitude like here:
***
::If you're so obsessed with the Sumeragi, I don't see why you won't just stop being such an ass,:: the Tree said mildly. They'd had this argument numerous times.
::I did kill his sister, you know,:: Seishirou replied.
::Yeah, and she thinks you're being a dickhead too,:: the Tree responded, with a very un-tree-like snort.
***
^^ Mmm, and the fic (Atropos) is a crossover with YnM, too. Nifty.
Do not resist CLAMP's bishounen powers. You will be assimilated

Date: 2002-05-08 08:13 am (UTC)Hm, if CCS is too cutesy, have you seen any Magic Knight Rayearth? It starts out fluffy, and then gets nice and angsty by the end of the second season--that tone is then carried through the second season and the OAVs.
Friends of mine are going to show me Clamp Gakuen Detectives (I am so getting that title wrong, I'm sure of it ^^;; ) at Akon--I can't wait. :D If I'm lucky, I'll be able to check out their Duklyon manga too. :D :

Date: 2002-05-08 08:37 am (UTC)Why I don't like X--well, several reasons, some of them direct, others indirect. Direct: I'm not that much of a fan of melodrama, and X surpasses angst and goes directly to melodrama. Uck. No, thanks!
Indirect: bad associations.
My ex loved it. So did an ex-friend with whom I was particularly close before I found out she was a user (of people--like me).
Now I can't look at X--either in manga form or animated--without remembering the two of them, and that's distasteful. It's the same reason I can't listen fo X-Japan and particularly to "Forever Love;" that was mine and my ex's Song, and it turned out to be such a LIE. I'm still bitter over that betrayal.
But on happier subjects, I have a Yoroiden! Samurai Troopers DJ anthology with covers by CLAMP! OHOHOHOHOHO! I SO lucked out on that one. I also have the CLAMP Gakuen Tanteidan character file book, "Akira-kun's Cookbook" (and for this one I DESPERATELY need to learn to read Japanese on the fly; those desserts look sooooo gooooood...;_;), and a Japanese CLAMP LARP book! ^^
I still don't have nearly enough CLAMP stuff, though...

Date: 2002-05-08 10:51 am (UTC)I have to admit, I have VHS tapes (the commercial release) of RG Veda eps. 1 and 2, and first season of MKR on DVD. I can't promise I'd be able to do it soon (I've got to be copying Record of Lodoss War and Trigun for a group of folks), but one of these days I could copy RGV and MKR for ya. When I get through the Lodoss and Trigun stuff, I'll get back to ya, and verify what tape speed and all that. :) (MRK 2nd season I don't have yet...friend of mine might be getting copies from a friend of hers, so that hopefully will change soon ^^

Date: 2002-05-08 01:10 pm (UTC)Oh, and I almost forgot. I have a CLAMP manga called Shin Shun Kaden.
Copies of MKR and RG Veda would be...um...much, much, much appreciated...*drooling already*
You know, I think that if I ever hit the lottery, I could probably blow it all on anime and manga...and I know I could blow it all on DJs...
