Overslept by an hour this morning. I knew even before I woke up something was off--that feeling of "I'm waking up gradually, on my own, and I'm feeling unusually rested...that can't be right! D:" >_> At least with rearranging some things, could leave the house basically on time. Not that that stopped me from rationalizing another trip to Starbucks.
Experimented with doing my chili using ground buffalo meat last night. In a heavily spiced recipe, the flavor isn't much different that using ground beef or turkey, really. But tasting it on its own, it is different--not as sharp or strong as turkey, not as heavy/rich or strong as beef. More mellow and subtle--more meat instead of bird, but just a bit more wild of a taste. Hard to describe.
Been messing with WoW a bit, no surprise. I forget what levels I'm at, but I know I've raised my dwarf paladin, troll hunter, and human warlock up a bit. Had a bizarre group experience last evening--was invited randomly to a group, which I joined because the quest necessitated it. But the two main people in the group...would not talk *at all*. No response to my hello, nor to my comments or questions. Even if I asked them directly. The only persons who would talk to me were the other couple guys also invited to the group. I wonder if the original two folks were not English speakers (like maybe they bought the game as imports and then somehow got onto the US servers?) I suppose they *could* have been bots, but I think there was too much complex activity/movement and such for that. But if they're not English speakers, why aren't they on the Asia servers or something? (Unless they're from Europe, considering it hasn't started up there yet...) But I must admit being amused at how very very often one of those non-speaking persons died. I mean like *constantly*. Even I don't die like that--or play as stupid (which led to the dying)...or rather I don't play as stupid without knowing how to run. >_>
I must have startled Capitol One with my scad of online buying yesterday--they called in the evening to verify that the credit card activity was ok and not the result of a card theft. Good of them to do, I suppose--but a bit embarrassing in a way to have to say 'No, that was all me...online at work during lunch, yeah... >_>; '
The side of the broiler oven bit my hand last night >_< Rather large blister in an inconvenient place, especially for how my hand/fingers flex when I type and mouse. Yay, klutz me.
And sure, why not...?
