Darn Nix for making me realize I had to go out and by the System of a Down 'Toxicity' CD. Darn her. >_> ...god, I miss having her online more. *flails, sniffles, whines* I should call, since I'm way going into IM withdrawal with her. *flails again*

Anyhoo, though I was in a Banzai mood last night, we ended up watching Tron. When four thirty-year-old fanboys find out that you haven't seen Tron ever ever, you tend to get made to see it. ^^;; Not that I minded--I actually liked it a lot. It was even cooler to watch the "making of" segment they had with the DVD, since there was so much work and detail that went into the film. I mean, now it's easy to do those effects with CGI, but in '82 having to do it all with matte painting and cel animation, to mix it in with live action--they really did awesome work with the technology they had at the time. And the backlit animation effects are really nifty-cool. ^__^

Anyway, it's not like I don't own Buckaroo Banzai. ^^ I just need to make time some evening this week to watch it. *nods emphatically*

For the hell of it, here are the shounen ai/yaoi pairs currently infesting my brain:
1. Touya x Yukito
2. Seishirou x Subaru (Darn you, Kea. Darn you to heck. >_< )
3. K x Hiro
4. Tsuzuki x Hisoka
5. Ran x Ken

And someone is writing a K/Hiro fic (on ff.net)! Okay, so it's not the *best* story... ^^;; In fact, it starts out with a premise that I find goofy ('so-and-so character gets a major illness' i.e. turns out Hiro is diabetic)--but it's not some gawdawful-tvmovieoftheweek terminal illness, and they handle it somewhat realistically. But the cool, nifty part of the story is how *well* they're handling the development of the K/Hiro romance. I mean, they're taking it slowly (really slowly--like the first story is seven chapters, where the second story will focus on the coming together of the two characters), and it's actually having the two get to know each other! *gasp* It's really keen how they're exploring the personalities of the two, and showing them discovering each other--it's surprisingly well handled. There's just something kinda cool about a story that shows a more realistic 'becoming friends then becoming involved' relationship as opposed to the "Hi-*boink*-we're in a relationship now" stories so often seen. And it's probably one of the better characterizations of K I've seen--they retain his ah...quirks ^^ but still make him feel like a real person with depth.

...I suppose I should be telling the *author* this... ^^;; Oh well. Actually what I should be doing is working. Whoops. *grins

And now I must worship Moe for being the goddess she is for giving you an idea like that. I am *SO* looking foward to it! Woo! :D :D Those two are so infesting my brain right now (okay, so they're two of many... ^^;; ). Heh.

*still doing the cheerleader thing and hoping studies are going well despite frustrations!*
