Ngah. I don't like trips coming to an end. But this one is eating my lunch. It would help, I suppose, if I could actually sleep to a decent time. This waking up on my own about 6ish... >p I sound like I do at home...all 'wah, tired allergies queasy *whine*'. >_>;;
Japanese Gardens at the arboreum were most pretty...very tranquil. Also there's been a surprising amount of growth since I was there last. Though that's the sort of place I prefer to go either extremely early in the day or very late, and alone--rather than midday with others. Someday, someday. Then I can just sit, or wander of my own volition, and listen to the place <3
Seem to have made my sunburn worse, though. ._.; Have been told I will use sunscreen today. Ick. I don't have the spray stuff, and my complexion's been OMGWTFawful as is... -_-
Also went to the huge Japanese grocery store, Uwajimaya <3<3 Love that place, adore it. Could have spent hundreds of dollars just on food if I let myself. Hit their food court <3, got Kelly a nice gifty bento box thing for house/catsitting, hit their bookstore (a Kinokuniya) for manganess--even found the two tankubon of Yotsubato! I've been wanting <3<3
Then made that soup last night, though Ma chopped all the vegetables (was just so blasted exhausted ;-; *whines*) But man, am never doing that again if someone else's kitchen doesn't have a handblender.
Today, today...last day of really doing anything (as tomorrow we have to pack and clean up, and hit the airport by midday). But today we shall go to the Alki--will snack at the Bakery, then walk along the beach <3 That's what I love best anyway...the sand, the shells, the sound of the waves and the gulls. I think I could just walk along the Sound every day and be happy. That's what I'll miss most when I leave. Sad that I didn't allow much time to hang out by it this trip. This afternoon, I think we'll wander up to check out the Space Needle and have early dinner in its restaurant. It's horrid-expensive and overpriced, but the view is incredible and it revolves *amused*.
*sighs* I'm so not going to want to leave seeing/hearing the ocean.
