whitereflectionWahhaha, watch me act braindead once again. >_o Totally, totally forgot that Gina's mother was going in for surgery yesterday--and not some minor thing, angioplasty, with a risk of having to do bypass if it was too bad. Ended up being somewhere in the middle in complexity it seems...but man, how and why the fsck did I forget that? Off in my own clueless little world, not remembering to pay attention to something that important to a friend. Criminy. You know, I used to really be on the ball...but now I'm like the worst absentminded, oblivious, forgetful git out there.
Anyway. Weekend! Yes, I still remember what went on then (amazing, ne). Might as well babble some about it while I'm on the Docs Desk--any other spare time today is definitely going to studying, and studying only. (The rp replies that are muttering around in my head are being told NO. >_o )
For all that I grump that I hate driving, it really is nice to do a roadtrip. There's something keen about wide open spaces, bluffs and farmland and small towns, huge skies full of sun or blanketed by rainclouds in every shade of grey imaginable. Good music and going 80ish... <3 But definitely was all about the destination, or rather, those at said destination. I can't describe how awesome it was to see Hana and Yume again, and to meet Koji (holy cats, you kick ass and you rock >D *tackleshugs* Must reeducate myself on Saiyuki and OP, get caught up so I can talk intelligently...). To be able to just chill and fangirl and *laugh*...seriously, I may smile here at home, chuckle, giggle, what have you...but I can't recall the last time I was belly laughing to the point of hysteria and nearly not breathing and eyes tearing. God, that's such a *wonderful* feeling. Talk about relaxing, man...
And it was such a blast. I know I've joked about nesting in doujinshi with Hana before, but holy cats, we actually *could*... The sheer amount of djs, plushes, cels and sketches, etc...definitely an ohmygod-fan-nirvana. <3 And I must be greedy and flail with happiness at having gotten so many *things*! A pile of dj love (my PoT doujinshi have now taken over my desk drawer almost totally ^^; ), PoT sketch/background layouts including a Kaidoh close-up that makes me want to run around a room squealing in happiness, a real actual MomoKai dj...so much, so much. <3 And I love being able to dig through other peoples things--get to enjoy so much with out having had to buy it all. ^^
And we got to watch such *funfun* things... I just adored the live event for the PoT seiyuu--they are so danged cute. ^^ Bad me, wanting to go chibi and gnaw on their heads with sharp pointy teeth. Though I have to say just one word about that, to be wickedevilnaughty...skirt. >D
[ohgod, there's a high school class here doing an assignment, i'm so doomed to not finish this. ._.;;; ]
Anyway, also watched PoT 119 and I have three words for that. Oh. My. God. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 There was only one thing that would have made it more perfect, but it followed the manga, so not like it woulda changed (okay, so there would have been one other thing to make it perfect, but that would have involved smooching and doffing clothing and of course that wouldn't happen. Damn. >_> ) But man...yes, InuKai is canon, but dammit, MomoKai is too. Wowsers. Guys, give in to the UST, you know you wanna. *_* Also saw the first ep. of Full Metal Alchemist--*Fa-sci-na-ting...!* I will acquire more. Dunno when I can watch, but I will.
Also got to see Koji play Sweat and Tears 2, and holy cats onna stick, I need a Japanese PS2 and that game. <3<3<3 What *fun*! And educational, too...no really, Japanese reading and listening practice, that just happens to involve looking at pretty PoT character designs. And they act just adorable, especially when they go blushy. <3
So damned much fun...there was also eating (including the best Mongolian barbeque I've ever had, and the Rainforest Cafe complete with the worst service ever--now featuring the marvelous, stupendous, invisible waiter >_o), drinking (the Chocolate Banana Blast was keen, but the Wallaby Darned was lovelylovely), telling of epic fandom-drama tales, and marvellous quotes that I wish I would have copied down. Though many quotes will appear as lj icons soon, I do believe. >) And yes, the Wallaby Darned and the gummy peach penguins do prove that I am a fully out-of-the-closet Momosexual. w00t. XD (gummy peach penguin orgy in the back seat!!)
Man, you don't know how much I miss it already, how much I miss everyone. *hugs and love* to Hana, Yume, and Koji for putting up with my dork and letting me share in a freaking awesome time. Getting back to 'normal' has kinda been annoying, because that was just so...such freedom, you know? I want it more, I want it like permanent.
So, there it is, whoomp. : ) Yeah, I like my friends here, but I love being able to gush about bishounen, about anime/manga, about shounen/shoujo ai and not only have others put up with it, but *share* in it, all of us spazzing together. It's just...god, it's nice, you know?
So, back to the usual, here. Japanese studying, work, but hoping to have time to tinker with icon making (I'd like to find a nice, intense Kaidoh image and add text something to the effect of "Uke does not mean weak", and maybe a MomoKai icon that says "Momosexual") and RP stuff. Must get the damned digital camera and scanner so I can start budgeting for an import PS2 and S&T2, not to mention more djs (why is it more doujinshi feed the need rather than assuaging it?). And I get to look forward to spring break coming up--will still have work, but a few days off of class will be cool. Especially since James is heading out of town for an Amptguard thing that weekend, maybe I'll take a day or so off work and goof off...there's always the bookstore, the zoo, Fontenelle Forest, etc. Hm, dancing might be nice, too...though sometimes that makes me crave things I can't really have. *coughs* Anyway. Time to end the babble, ne? (Long past time, I bet.)
