things and stuff
Nov. 5th, 2009 07:35 amChrist on a cracker, why do I even bother writing when there's stuff like this which is so goddamned perfect?

whereupon, Sam/Dean, R, 9717 words. Snarky, beautiful-lyrical-poetic-sensory--it's like two pieces that are all corners and sharp and elbows, that finally click together just so but are still snarky when they do, and it's *amazing*.
Anyway, show tonight. \o/ Looking forward to, yes. Today will be taking the mother and myself to where the county health dept is doing h1n1 vaccinations--they're the first clinics in town for them, free even, so it should be an utter zoo, joy.
And today's nov writing poem, even though I kinda wanna chuck all my writing out the window and burn it because damn there's good shit out there and mine isn't at that level at freaking all. But it's all I've got for the moment.
Today and What It's Worth
Outside it's gold
Walk on the cold sidewalk in your socks
Above the sun is so bright you look down instead of up
and the sky shades from white to eyes-blue to powder
at the horizon
Walk on the spongy grass, on the cold knobbly earth in your socks,
cross the yard, shuffling through yellow gold beige blanketing green
There's still a fly buzzing near the house;
it won't be there much longer
Wind picks up, and it's cool enough in t-shirt no jacket
to hug your arms against yourself
Leaf piles whooshskitter over the driveway
and you think of the sound of styrofoam peanuts
pouring out of a box
Walk inside, tracking in leaf bits crunched by your socks
(which your cats will eat and then regift)
The crockpot stew is better air fragrance than anything you can buy,
but the ginko fruit on the driveway isn't
and needs to be flung back into the neighbors' yard since it's their tree
Remember all this later, when you're eighty
and thinking back on simple, good moments.
(dvad 11-4 for 11-5)
Also, am so very sick of some of the people in my WoW guild. Some really are decent. Some are the princess bitch sorts that give female gamers a bad name, and I just want to smack something. Tired of it, trying to figure out exactly what to do about it to make money spent previously for server transfers not wasted.
