Am reminded how much I love Songs:Ohia's Lioness CD. Makes me (forgive the cat pun) mentally purr. All *hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm*, yeah. For all that I adore Whenever I've Done A Thing In Flames, I kind of think The Black Crow (http://www.lyricstime.com/songs-ohia-the-black-crow-lyrics.html) is my ultimate favorite Songs:Ohia song. It just, I dunno, clicks just right. Mm, the track Lioness is also purr-worthy. Perfect sound for today, what with the dark grey and all-day rain. I should've been listening earlier (not that there's anything wrong with overindulging in VNV again).
Taking Mom this evening to see her eldest sister at the hospital (had a knee replacement surgery--yay for this family, she's the second to have such done, even though she's one of the fit siblings. I mentally cringe at the future of my joints.)
End of a kind of sucky week. Work just kind of gets at me. And raiding last night was the *suck*. We were just wretched on material that's nothing but repetition for us. Was so pissed off by it.
I need to give the usual him the go-ahead for ordering my new computer tower. The last couple WoW patches have aged my machine like freaking crazy--and it was gradually worsening as it was. My video performance has degenerated to just utter crap, and almost makes me motion sick at times to look at, it's so stuttering and jittery when there's large numbers of mobs and/or spell effects going.
Hair trim tomorrow--hate having to go out when I need some hide-out time, but need it muchly. Also need to nab Kel a gift card for her birthday, and some ice cream for our get together tomorrow. Anj promises to bring chocolate cake. Mmmm, caaaaaaaaaaake.
