I like this bit from comeandgetmebabe's Boring System (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2963024/10/):
“People fall in love with people they shouldn’t fall in love with and people fall in love with the person they’re meant for. It’s as simple as that.”

“Love isn’t simple.”

“No it’s not,” she said. “But it’s not complicated.”

I also like this poem http://community.livejournal.com/greatpoets/1907686.html?thread=6056934#t6056934 and like the greatpoets community in general.

Have had the urge to write lately (AkuRoku stuff, and poetry, really want to do poetry), but the words/images/ideas just aren't in my head.

It got up to a (record-breaking) 80 yesterday. *80*. It is not yet spring. Yeah.

Spent most of the workday nodding off, so I suppose that means daylight savings time is still winning. 4-0, I think? I also suppose this means I should go sleep.

Is it sad that one of the high points of my days recently has been when the radio station I listen to plays MCR's Famous Last Words? (Even had a moment yesterday where there was a pause after a song or commercial and I thought "I bet they play Famous Last Words next" and wth they did...) Yes, I think it is sad. Very, very sad.

I was full of glee last week when I heard there was to be a Placebo concert in town soon. Not a bad ticket price either. Yet I'm not going. Am just...really blah on going to stuff alone, I guess. I seem to only do so for my favoritest of favoritest of groups. I so dislike the bathroom vs. saving my spot decision, yannow?

At least today should go fast. Even if it's because of scattered do lots of little things/meetings sort of scheduling. And because one faculty librarian is an ass and is doing an entire year's worth of ordering in the next week-two weeks because of procrastination. Losar. Srsly. Normally I export about 30ish orders, a big batch was 75...the most that was done before I trained for it was 200. Yesterday was 345, today 650. I have to queue these bastards *individually*. FFS.

I need to weed icons again. : /

Dear faculty librarian selector n00b:

RaptorJesus Christ it's a lion get in the car, if you ever, ever make me export 652 orders in one day *ever* again, I will destroy your soul. I SWEAR TO YOU I WILL. It only took 4 hours and 45 minutes you hor. DX

Note, it is 'destroy your soul' and not 'eat your soul', because I know it would taste of bloat, inefficiency, and selfish, inept, procrastination. And that would be nasty.

I h8 u h8 u h8 u.
Love,
me

(Srsly, 1000 orders in a week when our average is like 30-50, especially when she could have been ORDERING SINCE LAST JULY instead of the two weeks pre April 1. h8h8h8. I've heard her excuse was 'she thought the deadline was May 1 the Dean changed it to Apr 1 with no warning wah woe but STILL. She had since last *July*, doing it all in a month in a half vs two weeks would still be balls. HOR

Ohyeah, and she's already got 175 more ready to go. Lord knows what she'll select tomorrow/over the weekend before we get a chance to do this all again Monday. Oh, my mental Rayman rabbids are so DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!1! over all this.

Alsoalsoalso. This sort of behavior is nothing new. She has pulled shit like this the entire length of her career since before I even worked there as a student...i.e. over 15+ years now. TENURE TRACK FACULTY FTW.)

(Alsoalsoalsoandsoon...bloodwork at the doctor's first thing tomorrow morning. There is some concern Di might be di-abetic--ha ha ha--or at least prediabetic. So yeah.)
