Oct. 9th, 2006 01:35 pmThis is the sort of week it's going to be. 75% of what I'm wearing is ill-fitting or outright uncomfortable; it's a lesson about not pulling out an old pair of jeans without being willing to find another pair when they inevitably are too tight. Is a combination of being rushed and being stubborn. Though maybe it'd do me some good, might finally drill into my idiot head "Get a clue, fatass--quit with the ice cream pints and fried food and learn to exercise, kk?" (Note I don't even try to say "Quit with the coffee drinks" because that *will not happen*. Even if it does leave my complexion looking like the moon, genetic caffeine sensitivity LOL!)
Yay, dedication week. Must not show how cynical I am at the moment, or how bitter I am at our current people running things. (Our dean is *toxic*, I swear, and cheerfully so--as is our interim chancellor, for heck's sake if he becomes permanent we will be screwed.) Stuff starts Tues. evening, but we day folks won't have to deal with things until Wed-Fri, mostly Wed. Including not being allowed in our usual parking lots. If I can swing it, would be a good idea to get in early to allow for a walk across campus, or taking the shuttle bus from the mall (get here *early*? With him the perpetual can't-leave-the-house-even-on-time? Ahahahaha.)
The eval from heck continues--seems I have that follow-up meeting tomorrow. I figured whatever changes would just be mentioned to me--like yes the communication thing is being edited out or no it isn't. But no, have to have a out and out meeting about it. Geh. Talk about dragging on for months.
Allrighty. Let's see if I can avoid people today. Tho I imagine the cross-training with my coworker in order/receiving (can I just call it acquisitions, *please*?) will pop up again. So not sure how to be training her on cataloging, it's taken me years to really grasp the MARC codes, indicators, and subfields.
