I am so giddyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~. And filled with gleeeeeeeeeee~. It is the caffeine's fault, you see. :| Been for DAYS waiting for a morning where we were leaving the house early or at least on-time, but thanks yet again to the lackwit, it was not to be. D:< Again. So I finally decided screw it, I need Starbucks, and just took the being 15-min late to work in the shorts. Because...StarbucksStarbucksStarbucks ♥ Usually I go to Scooters on the drive in or MJ Java on campus, so this was a treat. Yay for pumkin spice frappucinos and pumpkin scones~ (Though I still want to go back for a ps latte and a ps cream cheese muffin >o< ) Tho I hear I need to go to Scooters again as well, as their special this month is a toffee nut mudslide latte. :Q :Q Dude!
And UNO is totally all abuzz. :o See, there's been this...economic scandal going on. Misappropriation of funds, mishandling of budgets, yadda yadda...but this morning the paper exposed that the chancellor had altered some expense reports and :o! What do you know, suddenly, a resignation. :o :o Not like this is going to change any of our problems at the Library, but it does make one go OHOHOHO to see the chancellor (and previously one of her cronies) finally get some poetic justice. Though unfortunately, one of the big problem assistant vice chancellors--the one who's caused us the most problems--is now interim chancellor. I can only hope he doesn't become permanent--or better yet, he gets cleared out too (oh plz plz).
WoW doom D: Alleria is one of multiple servers down for 36 hours as of midnight last night (we'll see if it comes back noon tomorrow as they promise)--I guess major upgrades in preparation for the expansion. Have dinner out with Dad, Dave, and Shannon anyway, so not like it'll impact me much. I can always dink around after dinner if I really feel like. Maybe I can just read the comics Mom sent and crash on the couch. (Or I can read online until horrid hours of the morning if this continuing no-sleep-til-2am thing keeps going >_< ) Augh, and I forgot to backup my friends/ignore lists >_< Yay for them just shrugging off that the upgrade would wipe such and not backing them up for us. We pay them for wut?
C'thun raid last night fell through, but I was so ok with that. Didn't want to go, was *this* close to skipping out--only showed up because I felt obligated to, since it was an official raid and all. Instead we did a couple Silithus royals (yay! finally got that quest done and got that ubersweet NR ring), then a UBRS run. Finally got one of the new Evis rogue books for a guidmate (now only five more mains to go D: ), and scored some stuff for Nin-mage. Pants that unfortunately weren't any better than what I had, and two sweet, sweet trinkets (the two previous nice trinkets I had could finally be banked for resistance-only use). And! Got the 0.5 upgrade to her belt/gloves, so up to 3 pc. of Sorcerer's. If I could only upgrade her staff and headpiece now, really. Then she'd be truly 1337 for a pre-tier 1 instance toon.
The pre-fall weather right now is wonderfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul~~ ♥ >o< Grey and cool (chilly this morning), rainy and damp yesterday. I'm so wibbly-loving it. I know we'll warm up again end of week, but any taste of it is making me do the happy dance. The warm spells may not last much longer--and that's going to be SPIFFY /gleedance The longer the autumn, the better :| That's the only thing I wouldn't like about Seattle, that you don't really get a good fall unless you head up into the mountains. Though I admit, as nice as ours can be, I know the northeast US would be so danged much better. So wish I were in that area during late Sept-Oct.
Finally found a Dream Theater disc I like. Had them very recommended to me years ago, had been given and bought some CDs, but just they never really fully clicked with me. Decided to try 'em again since my guildmate that'd gotten me hooked on Porcupine Tree likes them so much, and all the places selling PT CDs upsell DT ones. But they *still* weren't hitting me, other than the occasional song, maybe two a disc. Except for Scenes From A Memory. ♥! Now that, I dig. A lot. Reminds me of the TransSiberian Orchestra/Queensryche-style rock operas, which I'm weak for (also somewhat reminiscent but not as epic as the old Pink Floyd/Who type ones), so I guess it makes sense I like it. Am suprised that I hadn't kept listening to that one over time when I let the rest sit for years.
Movie-Don's this Sunday, though I think I'm looking forward to it. o_o A live action Golgo 13, with Sonny Chiba. :o Interesting...
Ohyes...as this may show, I'm enjoying an unexpected benefit of the reorg and getting new supervisorage and dept chair. :| Can type/email without worry, yay! And have taken to using my computer for web stuff again pre/post work and on breaks/lunches. That makes me far happier than it should honestly. But there ya go. Obviously it can't get over-indulged in, as the transition leads to increased workload, but still. ♥ It's the little things that matter.
O, allergies!
[Also also. o_o Had I mentioned that Tink-cat came up as heartworm antigen negative? Still have to re-do both tests in six months, but that's a positive thing so far, that it was just an exposure and not a true infection. Will see for sure come, um...March.]
